That looks like a trout stream if there ever was one. Nice pic A Ma.
It's just across the Philadelphia/Montgomery County line and according to the local Chapter of Trout Unlimited, they stock it from time-to-time. Almost no one fishes this part or any other part farther upstream, but I only ever caught one trout (a Brownie) … lots of Green and Orange-Breasted Sunfish and some Rock Bass.
In recent years, I have seen some rather otherwise unmarked "Catch and Release Only" signs.
The trail along the stream is beautiful and goes for miles and I mostly go there for photos. And a new portion has recently opened.
Almost no one fishes this part or any other part farther upstream...
Why is that? So different from the culture here as someone is fishing somewhere everyday it seems.
I'm not sure; most people walk the trail which is accessible and lengthy, flat, scenic and relatively safe. The stream, trail, bird blind, pond, fields, meadows and Nature Center are part of an Ecological Trust …
If I could cite one possible reason as to why, when I fish the stream, I fish alone, I'd cite its heavily vegetated banks much of which are flanked by dense forest … there are other parts downstream which are much more accessible and stocked every trout season by the state.
Actually, I'm glad almost no one fishes the part of the stream in and around the scene in the picture.
I'm trapped inside, with Matthew, otherwise, I would be out trying to find something to photograph... A few of our trees have changed colors, but we're still pretty green here. And it is just a bit warm to feel like fall!

Wish I were there...
