Scientists: Ted Cruz Understands Less About Climate Than A Kindergartner

The AP asked eight scientists chosen by professional science societies to grade the anonymous statements of Republican and Democratic candidates about climate science.

While Cruz had the worst score among Republicans, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush appears to have the best understanding of climate science in the GOP with a score of 64.

The scientists also docked points from Sen. Bernie Sanders' (I-VT) score for once exaggerating that "the planet that we're going to be leaving our kids and our grandchildren may well not be habitable."

"I would not say that the planet will become uninhabitable. Regardless of what we do, some humans will survive," Andrew Dessler, a climate scientist at Texas A&M University, said of Sanders' comment, according to the AP.

Here are all the candidates' scores, courtesy of the Associated Press:

You might note the three leaders in the Republican polls are at the bottom of this list.

"This individual understands less about science (and climate change) than the average kindergartner," Michael Mann, a meteorology professor at Pennsylvania State University, wrote about Cruz's comments, according to the AP. "That sort of ignorance would be dangerous in a doorman, let alone a president."

Ted Cruz understands just less then just about everything then the average kindergartner.

Listening to the king of climate propaganda about anyone is bound to lead to mis-perceptions . Michael Mann is so talented at lying he has even created a new branch of statistics to formulate his BS !

It's easy these days to be a man-made global climate change denier. After all, along with us and the 99% of scientists who know it's true, the deniers will be dead before the really bad stuff happens and they don't give a flying fuck about their grandchildren or great grandchildren. I guess on one level they're right. We will all be dead before the worst shit happens and never have to go through it.

I'm an atheist, so it doesn't bother me all that much (because I'll be just as dead and gone), except for the raw stupidity of the deniers (which IS humorous), but many of them claim to be Christians, so I guess they're hypocrites (God don't like no hypocrites) because they think it's OK to fuck up the world god gave them. I would think a good Christian would want to leave a cleaner world behind then they inherited, but here is one more example of them being full of shit when it comes to practicing what they preach.

This is pure bullshit . It figures that someone who is first to throw out the accusation of "liar" would believe propaganda . Ya haven't got a clue ...
