2 hours passed … the picture may be "for the birds."

Have I committed a cardinal mistake in posting this?

Mac, certainly not a mistake...he's a beauty.  Been out shopping all day or would have commented sooner.  A few Christmas items and seed for our feathered friends (and the scurrying ones that have taken to jumping from tree to feeders)...nuts were scarce this year!

First time I saw it show up on the FP, A Mac. Beautiful as usual. Is a Bluejay, we have tons of those here, related to a Cardinal? Just wondering. Thanks for the pictures, as always.

I am about ready to leave this site, no loss, because it has become the same old Bullshit, with a capital B, as the one we left.

Actually, the Cardinal is related to Buntings and the Blue Jay is in the Crow family!

Deepwaterdon, I hope you don't leave NT although I must admit that the FP has become quite ugly.

Don't leave, just ignore the FP - the groups are crying out for participants. I try to contribute regularly to groups such as Classic Cinema, Canada, Anishinaabe, Creative Arts, Middle East Affairs, Discovery and now and then a few others - there's much to keep us busy there.

Good comment, Buzz; I'm going to make an effort to spend time on those.

A Mac

Beautiful

Being a native buckeye, I have a special fondness for the cardinal.

RIO,

In that case, I have a number of nice Cardinal pix including the juveniles in their early plumage … I'll post some.

Mac, I commented on the photo soon after you posted it. I have no idea where the comment went to.

Once again, I love the photo. We have a lot of Cardinals around my area, and they are more than beautiful.

It would have been a cardinal sin not to have posted that photo.

Kavika,

I have another article with an juvenile cardinal … you commented there so that may account for the apparent "disappearance" of your comment.

Which is the clearest to you Mac?

Using the text as the determining factor, I'd say the top, right-hand image and the stand alone image below the top two -- with the edge going to the stand-alone.

But looking at the original image posted with the article, I'd give it to that one … it's close.

Now look at the same image here …

My Marketing Site

Going off to bed … let's continue this tomorrow. And thanks for looking in to this.

I was going to try to grab it, but forgot that it had copyright protection to do a test. Try sending me a file pic, I want to send it to the guys at jamroom.

I thought I sent you one … not a full-physical sized version, but a smaller one -- still @ 300dpi. A full file might choke your e-mail … but let me try an intermediate size, full resolution file.

That is the sharpest clearest image of them all, IMO.
