Gone are the days when Ford, GM and Chrysler came out with stuff like the Dodge Custom Royal Lancer, the '59 Ford Galaxy Hardtop Convertible … it was actually a hard top that lifted up and ended up in the trunk … the bullet tail lights on the '59 Caddy, and does anyone remember the '57 Plymouth ad that claimed, "Suddenly, it's 1960"!
I miss the old cars because they were distinctive. Let's face it, today's cars all look alike! The only differences between them are the insignia on the car... if that!
I had a '59 Pontiac convertible that I eventually traded on a '64 Pontiac convertible. Then I was totally cured of convertibles - noisy, windy, cold, easy to break into, plastic rear window scratched up so it was only transluscent...
Finally able to get this one to load. 1929 Buick Phaeton, about as classic as you can get. Photo taken at the Clarksville Ox Roast, Clarksville, Michigan. Got a bunch of them while I was there, although many were Chevelle Super Sports. Seems to be a favorite among the local collectors there.
Three more artistically-conceived and designed "Good Rides."
Great photos and classic rides for sure.
This is my 1956 Chevy Bel Aire, two door hardtop with continental kit.
1956 Chevy Bel Aire,
A Classic among the Classics!
It's very beautiful!
I hope this picture actually posts! It is my Aunt Lois' 1958 Buick classic!
Beautiful car Dowser.
Somehow, it always smelled "new"... We sold it in the late 1980's...

This is my 1962 Ford Galaxie 500 XL convertible. Very cool ride.
I had a '59 DeSoto Convertible and a '65 Buick Riviera … every time it rained, the trunk filled with water.
Mac, if I left the top down when it rained, I was in water up to my azz.
LOL
What a FUN car!!

Thanks for the addition, TTGA.
Lots more of them Mac. Check the Ox Roast article on KK. Feel free to put any of the car pictures you wish over here.
TTGA,
Last time I tried to get into KK, I couldn't. Not sure what happened.
Mac, that's important data. We're having problems with the Member List. I'll get with you on Private Notes.
My first car was a 1967 Ford Custom (289ci) black, with a light blue interior and a backseat that beckoned 'come hither'...
Thanks OM,
Keep 'em coming!
