Dear Friend A. Mac:  May 2016 be a year of peace and serenity.

I will post a link to a larger, better version …

Try looking here.

Much, much better and yes, there is a very strong interest in peace and serenity.  It just seems that those of us seeking and finding it are the least hard. Overwhelmed by those who would rather scream and shout nonsense.

Ok, that's bit better. Thanks.

Ok, that's bit better. Thanks.

If it's only slightly better, I may take it down altogether and try a re-make.

Not bad at all Mac (as if any of your pictures could actually be bad).

Could be a touch darker; that would emphasize the shadows and bring the canoe and it's occupant to the forefront.  Right now, the Moon is in the forefront.

Good critique! Later today I will re-work it.

Not much interest in Peace and Serenity it seems.

Don't get too hung up on numbers, my friend.  I'd always rather have one discerning viewer than a thousand who aren't able to appreciate what they see.

Dear Friend A. Mac: I concur with TTGA.

The dichotomy between quantity and quality looms large here.

It is easy to become frustrated when seeders crowd out original writers.

Similarly it is vexing when sowers of acrimony drown out those whose agenda is peace, fellowship and positive messages.

What is most upsetting is that the immature get most of the reply and attendance action here and at other sites.

All that said, I keep doing what I do, as do you for this reason.

What we contribute is meaningful to some, if not many.

Over and over again, in providing on-line private email Pastoral Care for those who seek it from me, many say this.

That they find what I and others like me, you included to keep them going in dark moments.

That alone justifies the time and effort.

As it says in the Talmud (Tikun Olam), if you save even one person, it is as if you saved the whole world.

Indeed. We best serve the Source of all good by being there for those who want us, whoever they are.

Thank you, Enoch … I needed a reality check … just when you came along and provided one.

Technical question, Mac: Is this a crop from a larger photo? It looks like the sort of image that stands out... after the fact... Then it's a scramble with the digital toolbox.

The layout is near-perfect. Very nice work, as usual.

Is this a crop from a larger photo?

Bob,

In fact it is severely cropped; the original aspect ratio is 3:2 horizontal being the longer.

Thank you for the kind words. I have several originals of the same/similar subjects; I think I'll rework this and post some others later today.
