We have a lot of different birds in NE Ohio and if one sits quietly and enjoys nature they put on a show for free, my wife bought me a guide to bird watching a few years ago and I sometimes pack a sandwich (or two) and go to the woods to see who is performing in mother nature's show today.
I love the grackles, even if they are mean to the other birds... Their feathers are so pretty! So iridescent!
There was once a large flock of grackles in my back yard, walking all together across the yard. You know how their bodies sort of bounce forward and back, but their heads don't move? Well, the radio was on, and they were playing Miss Sun by Bozz Skaggs, and the grackles were moving in time to the music. When the music had a break, they stopped, changed direction, and kept going with the music! If ONLY I had been able to record it!
Here is the song-- you'll have to picture, in your mind, the birds walking in time to the music!
Good Morning and a Welcome to All!
Crackles are mean birds. There, some controversy.
Great photo Mac.
Gotta' go out for much of the day to my great-nephew's first birthday party … but I hope to post more non-controversy later in the day.
Dear Friend A. Mac: Avery happy first birthday to the young lad.

Snap, grackle and pop... a most controversial topic
Good night; new pix tomorrow.

Exquisite grackle. iridescent!
Mac, your artwork (and it is no doubt ART) is one of the few (and shrinking) reasons to come here. Well done as usual!
