We have a pair of Doves in our neighborhood. Every morning they can be heard from our porch. Because their call is so distinctive, it's the first bird call I taught my grandchildren to recognize.
Ha, I love looking at the ads that the site has to the right of each article. They are always related in some way to the subject of the article, obviously by word selection and analysis. That means that, with this article, you have attracted soap, chocolate and, for some reason, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
Beautiful, Mac! I once wrote a short poem using mourning dove as a symbol but can't seem to find it! It has to be in one of my folders but I can't find it. If I do, I shall send it to you.

I was thinking about it yesterday, Mac. It is one of those things - the right mood, the right moment, my trance. I know it sounds absurd to some people, but I always write everything creative in a deeply reflective mood, allowing the subconscious self to take over. Quite like the state during meditation in a yoga session. I have been questioned and cross questioned on it by my poet friends and it is all I can say. It is the only way I can create. But, having said that, it should be possible...
Fly by and take a look.

Well done Mac.
As I've said before, I can't understand why the Audubon Society doesn't hire you as a photographer. That is a magnificent shot of a beautiful bird.
