It's 72 degrees here, so I'm in summer.

Beautiful photo Mac.

Ugh.....I'm jealous!!!  It's in the low 30's where I am and the temps dropping.

It was 90 or above twice this past week and is in the upper 80's the rest of the time. We're only supposed to have highs in the low to mid 70's this time a year. We are breaking records every single day in high temps. Something is happening. If it's like this now, will it be 120 or above this July?

But Randy, I thought Palm Springs was always 120 in July.  Isn't it pretty much in the desert?  It's about 20 here right now, but it's actually supposed to get up around 50 for a little while (the weatherman stressed the little while part) tomorrow.

Actually it does hit 120 once in awhile in the summer, but that's rare. Most of the time it's in the low 100's. Once it get's above 105 is when we start calling it hot. Besides it warms up the pool water for us and the dogs. But in the 90's in February? Not normal.

I like the way the background is a little out of focus.  It makes the flower pedals look even more vibrant and almost 3-D.  Thanks Mac

That effect is created by using a wide aperture … it records what is called a "shallow depth of field" leaving the only sharply-focused element in the composition, the object that was focused on … very little in front of or behind that object is in sharp focus.

Believe it or not, the shot was planned to look as it does.

Thanks for your comment.
