What do you think of these mascots and have you got a favorite corporate mascot / logo?
Dean
Hard to argue with that one being an iconic logo!
Interesting how corporates are attempting to brain the population down to the millennial mentality of what stands for strength - cartoons???

Huh?
Not sure what you are trying to say?

Another iconic mascot which generates instant brand recognition
Anyone that doesn't recognize this must be a hermit! lol
I can't argue with that
It is self-explanatory and doesn't need explanation.

Well of course it does
cartoon characters are intended to gain/get/grab the attention of adolescents. The use of those characters states that corporations now view the general public as mindless adolescents - simply put.
Well that doesn't totally explain the successof the logos (mascots if you will) of Playboy (the bunny), Disneyland (Mickey Mouse), Pep Boys (the three dudes), Linux (the penguin), Taco Bell (the chihuahua), MetLIfe (Snoopy and friends) all which are corporate mascots, emblems that attract far more adults than kids.
The purpose of advertising I to use familiar things that attract the attention of the consumer, you can choose to see it as a result of the dumbing down of America if you like, but it works.
It should - because America is dumbing down.
BTW - all of those examples are at least 20 years old or more and Taco Bell no longer discriminates.
Perhaps, many would agree with you
So hat, they are still the corporate logos of the companies
Immaterial and irrelevant to the topic at hand unless they discriminated against chihuahuas
So you do remember Joe Camel?
I remember Joe
I love LOGO art/design.
Functional art at its most colorful and fun!
Do you remember Virginia Slims and their tennis matches??
Now, THAT was a real mascot
