Dove-ine Providence

Traditional theism holds that God is the creator of heaven and earth, and that all that occurs in the universe takes place under  Divine Providence — that is, under God's sovereign guidance and control. According to believers, God governs creation as a loving father, working all things for good.

I keep my distance from traditional theism, or, more precisely, from organized religion; but, in NATURE, I personally find all the evidence I need to believe in Divine Providence.

Birds like the Mourning Dove would be EXHIBIT ONE.

It is no wonder that the word "Dove" rhymes with the word "Love". Doves symbolize not just peace, but undying love as well.  Beautiful shots, and meaningful words:

"I keep my distance from traditional theism, or, more precisely, from organized religion; but, in NATURE, I personally find all the evidence I need to believe in Divine Providence."

Why does that make me think of:

A very rare dove. We are lucky to have a couple of them in the shower.

I soap-pose that's true.

Mourning Doves shower our tree limbs, overhead wires, and fences all throughout the summer. Their call is part-n-parcel at waking and slumber times equally, and bring a swollen sweetness to every Minnesota summer.  Their beauty is divine, sacred actually; and we are blessed to be a part of it. Thanks for sharing with us A Mac.
