Is it that green now, up your way?  We're still in the budding out stage...

Wonderful picture!

Yes it is, in both locations, the rhododendrons are getting ready to flower out come mid April/May.

Mac's pic is an upstate conifer forest, the aromas of budding pines wafting through the air is something you never forget.

I envy you the greenness!  It is still very pale green here, and the grass is still in its winter ick...  Soon!  But it has been a lot cooler the past few days, so it will take another week or so...

Those dam Bradford Pears are blooming, which gives me allergies...  Redbuds are starting to come out, and the silky dogwoods are blooming-- neither of which are allergy producing and so beautiful!  I look forward to the dogwoods and azaleas!

The Rhododendron are green in this lush forest … the moss as well and there are some early spring buds on the deciduous trees. And there are pine and even some remaining hemlocks.

It is a most peaceful, spiritual trail.

Even the willows are budding, here...  just a pale green misty look.  But soon!  Our trees in the back yard are pink from the budding-- no flowers, and not pretty, yet.

I love the smell of a conifer forest-- it smells so clean and fresh!  I'm ready for spring to take hold!
