Hello to all.
Welcome back MAC! It's good to see you on line. Nice pic. I was in Utah for the very first time a couple months ago. Absolutely beautiful country.
Beautiful image, Mac, and I am so happy for you that you were able to get a much-needed break to recuperate and recharge your spirit.
Neetu,
I will be getting to our next collaboration on Monday when I'm back in Philly where my internet connection is much better than where I am currently connecting (in the Poconos).
Thanks for the kind comment.
Thank you, Mac. No hurry at all. I am sure you have a lot of catching up to do after the vacation. I often need a vacation to get over a vacation!
Hi Mac, I took a couple of weeks off and spend them in the wilderness of northern MN.
Beautiful photo, absolutely beautiful.
This is absolutely gorgeous! What a fun trip you must have had! What hard rock does, as opposed to softer rock... I love it! Thank you for the wonderful picture!
Mac! I missed you! So glad that you are back!
What a beautiful photo. I am glad that you had a wonderful time!
The break was great and needed …
And it's good to be back among friends.
Glad you're back!
Stick around for a while now - you have been missed. Nice sunrise, by the way.
Great shot Mac. Wish I could be there to see it in person.

I wish that for you as well. I have to start buying lottery tickets again, and, if I hit the big one, will give much to charities and family, and then, bring a bunch of NT friends together in some outstanding place!
Not Disney World, okay? I'm allergic to alligators and crocodiles.

They have fenced off all of the lagoons and lakes, Buzz.
An ounce of prevention too late, sadly and tragically.
We can start a WISH list of places/formats for such a gathering … generic or specific …
I'll start.
• A location with forests, mountains, lakes, streams and an accommodation with a comfortable lobby or meeting rooms, restaurant, coffee shop, bar and nice rooms.
Now there's a good morning shot if I ever saw one!
Great pic and good to see ya A. Mac.
good to see ya A. Mac.
And it's good to be seen!
Nice photo-- a real beaut! (Or is it a Mesa?)

It's a real BUTTE!
It's a real BUTTE!
Well, whatever it is...your photos really kick ass! (To coin a phrase).
I've always wondered if Buttes and Mesas were different things-- or actually just two different words for the same thing. So I googled it:
Buttes were once part of flat, elevated areas of land known as mesas or plateaus. In fact, the only difference between a mesa and a butte is its size. Most geographers say a butte is taller than it is wide, while a mesa is a much larger, slightly less elevated feature. Aug 1, 2013

I was going to say that they were the same thing, just one was bigger than the other, and was going to have to look up which was which... Thanks for the answer!
We saw a lot of Buttes out in Montana and actually got to the top of one of them. From the top, they're all the same level, and it looks just like a plateau, or flat land, with holes between them where the water wore it away. Caused by a layer of very hard rock that resists weathering... I think a Mesa in that situation would be a lot more alone than all the Buttes. You know what I mean? One or two lonely flat-topped pillars, if you got on top to see out, rather than a distinct plain kind of feature... I hope I'm describing this well. I can see it in my mind's eye, but sometimes, that doesn't want to translate well.
Very nice picture. Love sunrises and sunsets....

The most spiritual times of day in all four seasons.
I wish I could figure out how to share from my phone on here-this location, I see no ability to upload pics. I took some on the Gulf of Mexico (sunset) that would be good to share.....guess I'll have to try it from home.

If you e-mail the pics from your phone to another member, that member can post it for you to the discussion you specify and credit any/all such pics to you.
Nowhere Man sent this to me; it's quite a fine photo and in many ways similar to the pic at the top.
