A superb shot. The inclusion of the people was a necessary element to make it exceed the ordinary.

Great photo Mac, the people in the photo really give it scale.

I've been to the Arches a couple of times, it is a magnificent place.

Really nice Mac.  These formations should make a great series.  And, even better, this rock formation is not throwing the finger at us.Laugh

Good night all; tomorrow, a High Desert Ecosystem image -- next in the series.

That is magnificent.  Makes me dizzy when I think of being up on the very top.

I see so many things in this conglomeration of rocks.

What do you see?

Six,

You found "The Cock in the Rock," Tweetybird (or Chip from Chip and Dale), a Gorilla … and that's only in one small section.

That's sort of a reminder of being a kid, lying on my back looking up at the sky and guessing what the clouds looked like.

Sweet shot Mac!

So what do they call the face on the right side of the formation I wonder?

Very nice.  There's so much beauty in the Desert Southwest.  No that I want to live there, but it certainly is pretty.

I'll be getting back to these … I still have quite a few pictures to go through from my trip in June. Some of the shots are "pure" desert … stark at first glance but rich in detail and evocative the longer you look.
