Some articles and seeds I posted years ago were posted on groups and not seen by many people, so I decided to repost some of them on the Front Page.

I have know a number of Canadians in my professional life and some since retiring, and I was always impressed by the love of country possessed by Canadians and the friendly, optimistic outlook on life that most have.
Thanks for the article
Why shouldn't they have an optimistic outlook on life? Canada is one of the very best places in the world to live.
And than there is hockey and lacrosse.
I would prefer to live in Canada, but for a number of reasons I'm actually much more comfortable on my income here than I would be in Canada. Besides, the kicker is that my wife would most likely not qualify for a visa to immigrate.
Why not? We let people from Latin America in-- why do we discriminate against the Chinese?
Canada uses a fairly restrictive point system. My wife does not speak French or fluently in English, does not have a skill that is needed in Canada, has only a high school education...so her qualifications are too limited. It has nothing to do with nationality, race or ethnicity.
It's true, Dean, that moving to China almost 9 years ago at my age could have been a reason for trepidation, but I considered it a new adventure that started my life all over again.
