Does anyone but me notice how far the water has dropped? I see that and think, uh oh.
On my recent trip west, it was noted that many of the dams are at their lowest levels in 35 years, and, if the level continues to drop, in another 15 years, the impellers will no longer be driven.
Nice to see those stars so bright and numerous - not like the sky is like here. When at my cottage in Ontario's Halliburton lake country the sky was full of stars - neither air or light pollution interfering with it. However the most magnificent starry sky I ever saw was when we were on the highest point of the "Saddle Road" between Muana Kea and Muana Loa on the big island of Hawaii at midnight. It is no wonder many astronomical observatories are located there.
This really looks like a dry place of rock and water without any possible soil with the exception of the upper center of the photo. That rock to the left center looks like a petrified log. Very nice but isolated.
Sleep well my friends … and anyone else who may stop in.
Got more … tomorrow.
Spent many a night at Lake Powell over the years, don't remember it looking quite that good. Well done Mac your talent for blending is amazing.
Like you Larry, I spent many a night at Lake Powell, and this photo does it more than justice.
Well done Mac.
Truly beautiful!

The stars are perfect! Wish it could really look that gorgeous!

Catastrophic! It just worries me...
