12 Incredible 3D Chalk Illustrations That'll Kick You Right In The Nostalgia
We'll excuse you for thinking you can grab these Hungry Hungry Hippos and start up a game. And no, you can't actually play that Nintendo. And still no, that's not really Mega Man.
This outstanding collection of illustrations is the work of Chris Carlson , a Denver-based 3D chalk artist. Can't believe your eyes? Carlson has a playlist of time-lapse videos on YouTube showing just how he goes from empty canvas to chalky masterpiece. And, of course, he's on Instagram .

Yes, and yes again. I especially liked the one of Eric Clapton, one of my favorite guitarists/singer/writer/performer.

The Clapton one was good but for me the favorites are the "hungry, hungry hippos" and "real life tetris"and the "skeeball machine"
Thanks for he feedback
Since Escher is my favourite graphic artist I am impressed by the one imitating his art, but puzzled by how the shadows could be cast in different directions.
Actually, they are ALL impressive.
Stunning works of art, stirring memories that produce a smile.
I can hear the sound of the Hungry Hippos game...first time playing, kids were smacking those levers with all they had and I was desperately looking for ear plugs!!
Skeeball - Recall trying to win a prize for Mom and Dad assister and I racked up points on the boardwalk in New Jersey...I'm thinking 1962! The prize was a beautiful glass bank in the shape of a pig
As always Robert, thank you for posting articles that bring a smile and those that provoke thought!
Art has no boundaries!!
