Is Mike Pence an Evangelical Christian...or isn't he?

It would be nice for Mike Pence to think that the latest scandal of what Donald Trump has had to say concerning women and his sexual opinion of them as an isolated incident, however it clearly is not. Trump has had a very long history of saying misogynistic and comments about women that the latest revelations should render no more then a " Yes? What's different?" on the scale of his denigration and objectifying of women as nothing more then a lower life form placed upon this Earth for the sexual gratification of the male of the species.

Well of course this is different. Trump claims that this does not represent the "real" him when interview after interview on "The Howard Stearn Show" show" shows that it is him personified. This is NOT a slip of the tongue or an isolated incident. This IS the real Donald Trump and is Mike Pence willing to, as so many other Republicans have decided they can not, cover himself with the reeking stink of Trump going?

Even his own daughter continues to defend him when in one recording on Howard Stern the host asks if it's OK if he refers to Ivanka as a "Piece of ass" and Trump says "Yeah". What kind of father says that? What kind of father thinks it's OK for someone else to call his own daughter a "Piece of ass"? What kind of daughter has such a low opinion of herself as to think it's alright for her own father to not object to that characterization? In the same tapes Trump refers to a contestant on "The Apprentice" as having a "nice round ass just like his daughter". Who talks about their own child like that? What kind of parent says that?

OK, I admit I have four sons and no daughters. That said I can not conceive of having a daughter and thinking that these comments were acceptable. And make no mistake, these are not rumors or allegations. They are Trump's own words. Yes, they were when he was in entertainment and a private citizen and not running for President, but what in the fuck difference does that make? It's still vulgar and a disgusting betrayal of his own child. It's still an agreement to look at his own daughter as nothing more the a sexual object. As nothing more then a "Piece of ass".

So Mike Pence has a decision to make. Is he really, as he says, a Christian first, then a Conservative and then a Republican? Or does his Christianity mean nothing to him and will he continue to defend and support the pure anti-Christian top of the ticket that he has to campaign for and remain a loyal Republican to at the cost of what he believes to be his immortal soul?

Trump is going to go down and go down badly. The question Pence has to answer is does he want to be taken down with him or does he want to get out while he still can? Come to think of it that is the same question facing every Republican in Congress up for re-election. The same question facing every republican voter.

Are you the Christian you claim to be Pence? Or are you just full of shit?

The Associated Press reported Friday night that the Indian governor, a devout evangelical Catholic, was “beside himself” when the hot mic tape was leaked that afternoon.

The AP’s source — who “spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to share the private discussion” — also added that Pence’s wife, Karen Pence, was “furious.”

But do they have the courage, the guts, the fortitude to act upon their feelings? Or will they sell themselves and those who believe in them out???

What would Jesus do?

I suspect he would tell Pence to follow his soul and heart and not support Trump. I can't image that, if he existed and one believed in him, a follower could ever find a way to follow him and to follow Trump also.

Before or after he died for Trumps sins? I'm a nonbeliever so it is interesting to see how different people use religion to promote their own personal beliefs. I think your own beliefs of what Jesus would do are nothing more than figments of your own imagination.

Considering that Jesus isn't real, he could do anything anyone wants him to do.  In my imagination, Jesus would grab Ivanka by the pussy and say "how you doin?"

That's why his dad invented hormones and gave men balls.

Are you implying that god gave men hormones and testicles to be pigs? I think not.

My father (I assume) had male hormones and testicles since he fathered my sisters and myself and so do I. Yet I would never consider doing what Trump says he can do to women, grabbing them by their genitals and I know he would never have either, because we were both raised better then that. Did Trump's father raise him differently or is this something he came up with due to a life of spoiled privilege? If it's the second case, then why don't all men raised in a life a spoiled privilege act the same way?

There was an article about just this. The Evangelicals said they are sticking with Trump because the SCOTUS appointments are very important to them.

Seems hypocritical to me.

Well, if it turns out to be true that Trump walked into the dressing room at the Miss Teen USA Pageant while some of them, as young as 15 years old, were naked or semi-naked, then I can't see how he could justify staying on the ticket for any reason.

Bill Clinton tried to stay president after his interlude with Monica in the Oval office . There was nothing accidental about that unlike what happened with Trump ...

Well, no believing Christian could take a step that helps elect Hillary Clinton either. It's quite a bind he is in.
