The Blue Lives Matter movement is calling for its supporters to boycott Ben and Jerry’s and its parent company Unilever after the ice cream company endorsed Black Lives Matter last week.

A statement by Blue Lives Matter said Ben and Jerry’s is "spreading false and misleading statements" and that the Black Lives Matter movement "has inspired the assassination and attempted assassination of police officers, and it costs officers their lives."

Ben and Jerry’s announced its support for Black Lives Matter in a Twitter post Thursday with an explanation on the company website for why black lives matter. While expressing respect for law enforcement officers, the company noted it was important to support the movement to bring about equality for blacks being unfairly targeted by police.

Using words such as “systemic and institutionalized racism” caused a backlash for the company, which has a long history of supporting political causes, including marriage equality.

The Blue Lives Matter boycott has been shared on Facebook nearly 30,000 times since it was posted there Monday. The movement to support police officers also pointed out that Black Lives Matter is aligned with many other political movements including reparations for slavery and shutting down charter schools.

Unilever products include Axe, Dove, Knorr, Lipton, and Vaseline. The company's website states its products are used by 2 billion people every day.

Black Lives Matter has also aligned itself with BDS, which calls for the destruction of Israel (which is another reason why I would support the Blue Lives Movement).

BLM is a domestic hate group. Any company supporting them is supporting terrorism.

I loved the last line of the linked article, Petey.

Police have said the attack may have been racially motivated.

No shit?

On an added note, see the fine, upstanding citizen wearing a dark blue hoodie in the bottom left image?  that's Daveon Nix, the son of recently elected Sylacauga city councilwoman, Tiffany Nix.  She had this to say before she knew her son was responsible for leaving a couple of big-ass boot prints on the side of this kid's head:

"If we’re upholding them in their wrongdoings, then we are as much to blame as they are," she told the paper. "Let’s lead by example, let’s be kind to one another, let's lend a hand to our neighbors no matter what color they are, let’s stand together and show our children that we love them enough to put our petty differences aside."

After her son's arrest, she has suddenly become unavailable for comment.

As for the issue at hand, now that I know Ben Cohen continues to publicly support copy-killer Mumia Abu Jamal , it will be much easier to walk right past their grocery store inventory.

When they say racially motivated they apparently mean those 4 are against the color blue  ...

Or they are against any color that isn't black?  Too bad these attacks don't make the same level of Headline News that other, much sillier stuff does.

Or they are against any color that isn't black?

That is the problematic issue with BLM . Is what they stand for political or racist ? I'm going to say both ...

Where's the DOJ with a civil rights investigation of these racists?

The best reason to boycott Ben And Jerry's is the taste. Ever since they sold out the quality has gone downhill. There are now much better tasting Ice creams on the market like this one.
