Detailed Panoramic View Of New York City Sketched Freehand

1.jpg

London-based artist Patrick Vale , last featured for sketching out the lower Manhattan skyline from the view of the Empire State Building, is back once again with his impressive illustration of New York City.

Titled Colossus , the time-lapse video compresses days of freehand sketching into a beautiful aerial, panoramic view of New York City.

Starting from a single sheet of paper, the complete illustration offers a three-dimensional perspective of the skyline, which features iconic buildings like the Chrysler Building.

Watch Patrick in action in the mesmerizing time-lapse video.

I'm always amazed at people who can just sit down and draw... This freehand drawing is wonderful!

The perspective to envision the finished product and to work through it step by step by step is amazing to me along with the simple creative skill of being able to draw freehand in such a magnificent manner.

Thanks for the feedback

This is why such talent has been referred to as "A Gift."

They're great! Of course since I've never been to New York, I can't be sure of the accuracy. Still, very nice indeed!Smile.gif

Amazing!

I don't have anything near that sort of talent. But even if I did, I certainly wouldn't have the patience to do it!

Thanks for the feedback

I have visited the city many times and they look pretty accurate to me

Perhaps a NYC resident will comment on that point.

I am with you, I lack both the talent (completely) and the patience (almost completely) to work on something of this nature

Thanks for the feedback
