Art Collection From Mondo's JURASSIC PARK Gallery Show

art-collection-from-mondos-jurassic-park-gallery-show

Several illustrations have been released from Mondo's Jurassic Park tributegallery show which opens in Austin, TX on June 12th, which is the same day that Jurassic World hits theaters. The show is called When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth, and as you will see below, it's going to be full of several pieces of awesome and creative art from various artists.

The films offer a rich world of colossal dinosaurs, gorgeous tropical landscapes and iconic characters for artists to draw their inspiration from. The title of the show When Dinsoaurs Ruled The Earth references the climactic scene of Jurassic Park when the T-Rex triumphantly reclaims her dominance at the top of the food chain, making the past tense of that falling banners copy ominously incorrect. Now 65 million + 22 years later, dinosaurs are getting their first fully functioning theme park in Jurassic World with all of the terrible implications of how that will go perfectly wrong.

Check out the art that's been released below, and under that you will find a list of artists participating in the show.

I loved Jurassic Park (the original, the sequels not so much), I also enjoyed the book.

These sketches, pictures, posters and illustrations are great

Feronia

I thought the same thing about that one and also the one of the two kids playing with dinosaurs tells a lot about the original story line

Glad you liked them

Very cool RIO. I like the one black and white of the T Rex.

James Patterson wrote a book entitled, ''Zoo''...It's going to be a tv series starting the end of this month or next. Reminds of Jurassic Park....Hope that the mini series does the book justice. There is a real message in the book, and I hope the mini series as well.

That is a good one for sure

My wife and I are planning to watch "Zoo" at least the premiere to see if it going to be worth watching week to week

I am a fan of his novels and the couple that have been made into movies have also been pretty good.

Thanks for the feedback

The illustrations are great. I was just wondering, with the experimentation going on with DNA etc, whether it is possible to create life from prehistoric creatures that have been preserved in the ice at the poles. Does anyone remember Dolly the sheep? I believe she was created.

Buzz

Wasn't Dolly cloned from a live animal?

I guess the process could be similar, as you can see not a microbiologist at this keyboard.

Thanks for the feedback

Yes, she was. I had forgotten. I do worry that life could be created in a test tube, which, if I DO recall, was the method used in Jurassic Park.

That's a good one, made me think that the dinosaurs were in charge of the whole process
