Coming in January, 2017

~ PHOTOSHOP-MANIA IN THE CREATIVE ARTS GROUP ~

A New Feature on The NEWSTALKERS

Here's How it will Work

• Go to the CREATIVE ARTS GROUP

• JOIN the GROUP … it's open to all

• Post a PHOTO (JUST ONE) taken with a camera or cell phone, etc.

• By posting your PHOTO, you are giving your permission to have your photo edited and reposted as a poster, abstract artwork, colorized transformation … who knows what?

• Your edited PHOTO will be reposted in its transformed iteration along with the original

• You can post a PHOTO that needs a SMALL AMOUNT OF RESTORATION, CLEANING, etc., (emphasis on SMALL AMOUNT) … but make it clear that you are requesting restorative work

• IMPORTANT … post your PHOTO IN THE CREATIVE ARTS GROUP COMMENT SECTION AND GIVE THE TRANSFORMATION PROCESS SOME TIME

• Once the TRANSFORMATION IS COMPLETE, IT WILL BE POSTED ALONG WITH THE ORIGINAL IN A CREATIVE ARTS GROUP DISCUSSION/ARTICLE (possibly along with others).

• Photos can be posted at any time (no need to wait for the Thursday/Friday feature)

ONE PHOTO PER POST PER PERSON Please wait until your photo has been transformed and reposted before posting another.

It is anticipated that this FEATURE WILL BECOME ACTIVATED ON OR ABOUT JANUARY 1, 2017

(Some changes in the feature may change after it's rolled out)

• There are limitless possibilities … and … there's no way to know in advance what a transformation will look like since I will "go with whatever" happens to happen.

• Photos need not be "professional," unusual … just nothing tasteless, pornographic, highly personal, and YOU MUST HAVE THE COPYRIGHTS/OWNERSHIP AND THE RIGHT TO POST WHATEVER IMAGE YOU POST.

That's it.

Photo shop almost made the bird invisible.

Interesting contrast.

I tried to make it look like a pencil sketch tinted over with a "light watercolor".

@ A.Mac:

Your description of the procedure seems to indicate that when a photo is posted to any part of the group such as an article or comment wall it is possible that it will be reprocessed. Unless it is indicated that if the reprocessing is wanted IT MUST BE REQUESTED I would not want to post another photo. Otherwise anyone who posts any photo could find their photo reprocessed WITHOUT PERMISSION. I realize that I have from time to time tried to improve other's photos such as enlarging it, brightening it, straightening the horizon, etc and I was wrong to do so unless I had asked for and received permission for doing so. I suggest that you add to the requirement that the photo must be accompanied by a request that it be reprocessed or it should not be touched.

• Only when a DISCUSSION IS POSTED SPECIFICALLY AS "PHOTOSHOP MANIA" can changes to posted images be made.

• It's probably best IF ONLY I POST A DESIGNATED "PHOTOSHOP MANIA" DISCUSSION -- when I do, I will INDICATE IN RED, THAT BY POSTING A PHOTO IN A PHOTO MANIA DISCUSSION, THE ONE POSTING THE IMAGE, IN EFFECT, HAS CONSENTED TO THE IMAGE BEING PHOTOSHOPPED BY DISCUSSION PARTICIPANTS (and let us hope for good behavior in the edits).

My first attempt.  Anyone can play with this that wants to do so!  This is the original photo-- daisy fleabane:

Then, I played with it a bit:

Not much I can do because my editing possibilities are limited to basics, so here is all I could do.

Someone such as A.Mac or Hal will have to be the ones to take advantage of this new concept.

Birds are much more selective about where they nest …

Otherwise, good one, Hal!
