Great story! I think our squirrels were part of a circus, their innovative waysof getting on a feeder is comical (costing me a fortune in seed). Love watching our outdoor activity while having my morning coffee.
They can be destructive which is why I try to find a balance to keep them happy I counted 6 scurrying around yesterday morning, I think they've invited friends to enjoy the sunflower seeds!
Perhaps I'll put out squirrel corn, like RW has, I'mjust afraid one morning I'll look out and have a squirrel army staring me down!

I have a large blue jay in the back yard, actually it seems that he is in charge of the backyard most days, and I hope to get a good picture of him.
He gave me hell today when I was mowing the grass, guess he was trying to sleep.

Blue Jays can be pretty bossy and aggressive....so beware......lol
They don't play well with others onmy feeders! They are beautifully blue and a treat to see in my backyard. Your photo is awesome!
