Anne Graham Lotz speakingEvangelist Anne Graham Lotz is sending a dire reminder to Christians that the Rapture can be just moments away, and warns that failing to be prepared for this “trip” – as the world enters the Last Days – is a tragedy.
The daughter of Billy and Ruth Graham says that just as she make a checklist every time she leaves for a missions trip, Christians approaching the Rapture in the End Times must make sure that they are ready for the most important “trip” of their lifetime – and eternity, for that matter.
“[M]ake sure nothing is forgotten or overlooked,” Lotz advised readers in the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association’s (BGEA) Decision Magazine. “Preparing to leave takes time, thought and energy.”
Soon …
She then appealed to God’s Word, which exhorts believers to make every effort to be ready for the Rapture – the Second Coming of Christ that is highlighted in the book of Revelation … an event that can take place at any moment, as world events in recent decades indicate that the End Times are here.
“The Bible teaches that all followers of Jesus are to plan and prepare for a ‘trip,’” the Christian leader asserted. “The trip is not only undertaken when we move to Heaven following death, but it is also a very unique one that will take place at the end of human history – as we have known it.”
Lotz, who serves as the president of AnGel Ministries, impressed the fact that believers today could very likely be the one and only generation in the history of the world that will not undergo the same kind of death to which billions of people of millennia past have succumbed.
“We are told that believers in the last generation will not experience physical death, but will be caught up in what is called the ‘rapture’… the ‘snatching away’… to meet Jesus in the air and be reunited with loved ones who have died in Christ and have gone before us,” Lotz pointed out. “It will be the trip of a lifetime – a trip that is out of this world. Are you ready?”
Toward the end of her Rapture Bible study outline – she answers her own question – ‘How will we know when it’s time to leave?’ – by reciting Scripture:
“For the Lord Himself will come down from Heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.” –1 Thessalonians 4:16–17 (NIV)
Lotz ended with a blessing and a promise from the same book of the Bible.
“May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does for you. May He strengthen your hearts so that you will be blameless and holy in the presence of our God and Father when our Lord Jesus comes with all His holy ones.” –1 Thessalonians 3:12-13 (NIV)
Impending judgment
Lotz sent another End Times message less than a year ago that God’s judgment is on its way.
"'The wrath of God is being revealed from Heaven against all the godless and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness' – that is what is happening in America," the evangelist from North Carolina warned last May, according to The Christian Post. "'For although they knew God, they neither glorified Him as God or gave thanks to Him because their thinking has become darkened. Although they claim to be wise, they became fools that exchanged their moral God for images made to look like mortal men, birds, animals and reptiles.'"
She made the argument that Romans 1:23 refers to the godless theory of evolution being taught in the schools – a process that is not backed by scientific evidence or logic.
"That's evolution … and our schools teach evolution as fact and Creationism – if it is mentioned – it is sort of a fringe theory,” she impressed, CP reports. “Therefore, God gave it over. God just backs away and gives us over in His first path in this downward spiral to sexual immorality. That is the sexual revolution … that is free sex, which actually is very expensive. When we refuse to repent of our sin and turn to God, then in [Romans] verse 26, God gives us over to sexual depravity –which is what we see all around us today. Then, we refuse to repent of our sin and turn to God."
Turning to Romans 1:28, Lotz warned America that little time is left for it to get its house in order – before it is held accountable for its waywardness.
“[America has entered the] last stage of this downward spiral into the abyss of God's judgement," she added. "The last step, 'furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, He gave them over to a depraved mind, to a reprobate mind.' He gives us over to ourselves, and I believe America is in the last stage of this downward spiral into the abyss of God's judgement."
The Christian leader ended by reminding America that it has turned its back on God by pursuing its wicked ways and shunning His Word – and will face the consequence.
"God is backing away from America – He has said again and again and again, 'If you forsake me, I will forsake you. If you abandon me, I will abandon you,'” Lotz concluded. “So, we see God abandoning America as we shake our fist in His face and insist on our immorality and all the things we are doing. We have lost the ability to think straight – no pun intended. God backs away and removes His hand of blessing and His hand of favor and His hand of protection."
Pray, pray, pray
With the National Day of Prayer just around the corner on May 4, Lotz recently expressed why America needs to be on its knees now more than ever.
“We need God – our nation is unraveling … disintegrating into anger, anarchy, division,” she recently told the Bible Recorder. “The polarization seems to be paralyzing our government.”
Lotz went on to mention the disunity and hatred for Christians, God and His Word that are pulling America down to the point of oblivion.
“There seems to be little civil discourse and lots of chaos and confusion,” she contended. “At the same time, we are being threatened by terrorists who are dedicated to destroying us.”
Lotz left with a Scripture revealing God’s promise and call for repentance – upon which she encouraged all Americans to meditate and offer up to God.

"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” –2 Chronicles 7:14 (NIV)
The anger at and hatred of Christians and Christianity in America is telling and is noted in the lack of civility in political dialogue among our people. The anger, polarization, decay of culture, are paralyzing our country.

I'm not sure I understand the intent of this seed-- is it satire?
Or is it meant to be serious?
The Intergalactic Jesus Spaceship is arriving soon. Do you have your boarding ticket yet?
That will be a day of great joy for those who are saved and either resurrected or swept up into the air to meet Him. For the rest it is simply the end.
Let's see. Its not in the satire section nor labeled as such. It is seeded to the religion section. It is a serious religious article about a leader reminding Americans who believe to prepare for the 2nd coming. It also describes current events in the news in America. Why would you think that something so important to all true Christians would be funny.
Oh - and you can't take your money with you, so Jesus wants you to send all of it to Our Lady of Perpetual Suckers, care of Hal A. Lujah.
There are plenty of poor we may assist and provide for to alleviate human suffering while we await the 2nd coming.
