Anthropology & Archeology Over 80% of this is devoted to News and politics as it should be. Religion seeds are 1% of the total here and only a small percentage of those are advocacy for anything. So, because of a tiny number of articlessomeone doesn't like, we're really going to consider making religion advocacy articles from religious sources taboo like porno is? Why are we having this poll and debate?

Because the little red diaper babies don't want freedom of speech, but most of all they don't want anyone to have the freedom to express themselves if they disagree with them. They want to silence anyone who doesn't. It doesn't matter whether they are Christians, Atheist, Black or White. They want silence all dissent to their agenda.

They do it to each other. If a Liberal has a open mind and sees something in a different light than their required beliefs, they cast them out. They turn on them like a bunch of dogs who attack the weakest one in the pack.

They do it to each other indeed. Just look at what they are doing to Kristin Powers for daring that they be tolerant and civil toward us.

The power and control aspect is what it is all about. The proof of that here is that they are whining and crying like children about something that rarely happens based on time and volume and the key offensive seed to them is over a month old. Again, it's odd that they want to control what others can say rather than just not join a conversation.

Why would you care? What would compel you to open and read a seed that was of no interest to you? Religion seeds in total are less than 2% of all seeds and those remotely related to so called proselytizing are but a fraction of those. Thanks for sharing your desire to ban any conversation that you don't want anyone else to have even if nothing compels you to join it.

What hurts liberals is not being able to control what others can say or do. Not being able to dictate or tax rates and economic choices also hurts them. They ache from their bellies if they can't dictate the terms of others lives.

Not all conservatives are libertarian and tolerant of all free speech. Not all liberals and certainly not all agnostics to atheists oppose the free expression of those who believe differently. The idea of banning something that occurs in about 1/10th of one percent of the seeds can be about nothing other than silencing and controlling speech content of others.

Is that what your saying? I mean spell it out brother, don't be shy. None of the other libertarians around here are.

Please tell me how you really feel. If you missed it I defended you and your posts, for good reasons.

But I also voted no, for good reasons.

So tell me truthfully, you really think I'M TRYING TO LIMIT FREE SPEECH?

We just have to agree to disagree on this one. We may agree on things quite often but not here. If we ban one sort of speech now what's next? Also, the poll is poorly worded and if no prevails a lot of stuff that really isn't proselytism will be interpreted as such and removed. It's not like an LDS member came here and tried to turn us all into Mormons or any other you fill in the denomination name. If no prevails here there will be more freedom of religious expression on newsvine than here and I'd hate to see anything good said about newsvine.

We will do what we have to do after May 22. Then we will be still free or not and have to live with it. In the meantime while the election campaign is going on I must stand on the principle of free speech for all for every issue and urge a yes vote. Vote yes and encourage all your friends to vote yes too! Go yes!
