The Israeli Ministry of Science and Technology has launched a   virtual exhibition   highlighting dozens of Israeli discoveries and developments that have influenced the entire world. Medical breakthroughs, international awards and recognition, humanitarian advancements, and environmental and technological discoveries are just some of the categories showcased in the incredible collection which was previous on display at Israel's Ben Gurion Airport, and can now be explored virtually online.

From Science and Technology Minister Ofir Akunis:

"The exhibit is a major public diplomacy asset for Israel. We are showing the vast contributions of Israeli science and technology to the world and all humanity. We have what and who to be proud of. Israel is a pioneering country and innovative leader. The entire world admires, and is amazed by,  our achievements and we hope it will assist our ministry to promote and enlarge the international scientific cooperation with more countries."

Here's a sample of some of the incredible advancements featured in the exhibit:

1. Turning algae into Heart Tissue

Dear Friends Buzz and Raven Wing: Das Alt Neu Land was a monograph about Israel in the early Zionist days.

This article bears out the truth of the title.

Israel is a combination of pre through post Scriptural times, and there after.

The modern State is founded on science.

We need both in life.

Be wary of those who posit things in an either or.

The correct answer is at least but not limited to two options.

Life is complex.

Sound bytes make for good ratings, not veracity.

Good article, good comments, good work.

We are grateful to you both.

Peace and Abundant Blessings.

Oh, and a glass of Reconstructed DNA Biblical Wine (Rkatseteli) wouldn't hurt either.

Enoch.

Dearest Friend and Mentor Enoch, thank you for your words of great wisdom. I never cease to be amazed when I hear some people speak of Israel as if it were still some second or third world country, devoted only to endless war with their surrounding countries. And that the people are still not as educated or up to date with their technology and knowledge of the real world.

That is why I am always very happy to see such information that will remind and/or enlighten others as to the real state of Israel's current capabilities and dedication to advanced education for their people, and the world as well. (smile)

Dear Brother and Friend Kavika: Perhaps an article about what the Oneida and other Native American Nations are contributing to North America would be a great service to those who do not know.

Please include a reference to the Indian Country Today web site. Others may want to check it out.

Two of the most important food groups were invented by American Indians....Popcorn and potato chips...Need I say more.Wink  And everyone know about Kosher Winnebagels and Frizza.

Oh, wireless communications is another (smoke signals) Al Gore tried to say he invented the net, but we know better.

Dear Friend Kavika: Most of what non-indigenous Americans know about food in North American we learned from Native and First Americans.

You were here first, for thousands of years.

The tree Sisters Stew at the Long House is a great example, but hardly the only one.

Prior to crop rotation, natural pairings in agriculture made for sustainable plant food sources.

That said, there are some new and exciting things going on in Indian Country.

The more we all know about each other, the greater the harmony between us will build.

Although my comment was light hearted, Indians did invent popcorn and potato chips.

Additionally potato's and the many varieties  of them are an Indian invention as is guacamole, sunglasses, sun screen, calendars, and numerous medicines.

I did an article some time back covering this subject. I'll try to find and post it.

It's a shame there isn't more about the wine. I would look for it.

Good seed.
