Also, what will be the score at the end of the game...take a guess and lets see if anyone wins!

If you predict the same score as someone else, that is fine.

Lets have some fun.

I'm rooting for the Patriots, but I predict the Eagles will win 31-23

Eagles defense hopefully shows Brady the dome ceiling ... Hoping for 21-17 Eagles.

I think our strength lies in the fact that our defense gets better throughout the game.

Bleeding green for the Eagles.

I am not that much of a football fan. And I don't own a TV, so I won't be watching the game. The only thing I hope for is that no one is seriously injured. Given the two teams in play, whichever team wins will be well deserved and hard won.

I'm not much of a football fan, prefer watching NHL and MLB, and have not followed American football so I have no idea about nor have I favourite teams or players, but I'll guess I'll favour the Eagles on what Split Personality said about the their defence, and on supporting A.Mac in this because I've razzed him about the Phillies losing the World Series to the Blue Jays long enough.  Although I most likely won't be able to watch the game I'll guess 24-14 for the Eagles.

Ha ! when you razz A.Mac you razz us all !

Mitch Williams was just another typical ......in the history of famous Philly collapsesAngry

While my heart & boots are parked in TX, I still own the row home I was born in, in Philly.

Go Eagles !!!

I will not be watching the game for a couple of reasons: 1) The idiotic anti-police protests by the players during the National Anthem and 2) The Pittsburgh Steelers are not in it.  I hope the Eagles win it, because 1) this is the third time they have been there and they are 0-2 so far, 2) They are the OTHER team from PA, and 3) I hate New England.  I think the score will be 30-24 in Overtime.

EDIT: The ONLY game I watched this season was the playoff game between the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

I agree with all of your points! Fellow Steelers fan here too! :-) The only game I caught this year was the Steelers and Jags as well. My daughter does football and BB cheer so my Saturdays and Sundays have been clogged with BB games this season! I didn't even get to catch any UGA games either due to her football games being on Saturday, grrrrr!  LOL! Soooooo, Go Eagles and I predict a score of 26-23 Eagles

I watched almost every single Penn State game, though.  I really hated them being on Fox as it always ended up as a loss, except the one time they were on FS1...

Dear Friend Kathleen/Butterfie: Mrs. E. is in her native Israel since December.

She will not return until before Passover this spring.

Our daughter and her brood live in the Rittenhaus Square area of Philly.

Our son and his clan were in the greater Boston area (Cambridge) when he was at Harvard.

They are all here in the Taj Enoch for the event today.

Three generations of snacking will take place during the festivities on TV.

With the family split on loyalty between the City of Brotherly Love and Bean Town I will root for the Buffalo Bills.

They are not playing.

They are the team closest to where I reside.

I choose to emotionally invest in teams with greatest proximity to me by an accident of geography.

Seems no less irrational than any other criteria set.

Whoever wins will be the team with the most points.

Any team that makes it to the Super Bowl cannot be a loser in my book.

With my offspring and theirs in our home, I see myself as the World Champion today.

Go Enochians!

Too late to get a bet down on the 01/30/2000 Super Bowl for the St. Louis Rams?

Who will give me 8-5 odds the Rams take the Titans?

Anyone?

Congratulations to the Eagles and Philadelphia. Enjoy it. And it was a great game, if one without any defense (New England didn't punt once).

Here is the factoid of the game for those not necessarily that concerned with who won.

There have been somewhere in the neighborhood of 15,000 NFL games played since the league began 90 some years ago.  This was the first and only time in those 15,000 games that the score was 22-12 at halftime.

JohnRussell

19.1  JohnRussell  replied to  JohnRussell @19    6 years ago

Imagine the incomprehensible joy felt by all the people who had 2-2 as their halftime numbers in Superbowl pools where there is a 100 square grid and people buy squares that are then converted into random number combinations once the 100 squares are sold. 99.99 times out of 100, or more, 2-2 would be a kiss of death in a pool like that. Those are numbers that rarely come up in football scores, and for both teams to end in 2 at half, and thus be a winning number, are astronomical.

This was a unique game in many many ways.

At least one Eagle is not going to the WH.

And before someone makes it a patriotism issue, the reason the NFL plays the National Anthem is not out of patriotism!

It’s because the Department of Defense pays the NFL to do so.

Cool, so If I pay the NFL to play David Allen Coe before the games, they would do so?

how does the NFL survive.

What a waste of tax dollar money that friggin was

It should be played , but not paid, for by US, and NOBODY should ever be FORCED to stand.

For the record, I always do, but I also understand we have the right not to

We waste all sorts of money on all sorts of things we shouldn't. This was just one more, but at least it is over.

People don't HAVE to stand for the anthem, but they should, if for nothing else to respect the people who fought and died for that flag and what it represents.

When they don't, I lose respect for them--no matter their position. You can make a point without insulting millions.
