Canadian PM: Sharia law is compatible with democracy

Canadian PM: Sharia law is compatible with democracy

Justin Trudeau insists Islamic law isn’t incompatible with democracy. The American Center for Democracy disagrees. Who’s right?

Canada continues to support and implement Sharia Law.

By Israel National News, February 7, 2018:

The American Center for Democracy (ACD) quotes Imam Aasim Rashid of Vancouver, British Columbia, who spoke in October 2017 at Thompson Rivers University, explaining why the Canadian government wants to implement Sharia Law.

“I’ll tell you who wants to bring Sharia Law,” Thompson said then. “The Canadian government wants to bring Sharia Law and this is not a joke. Why? Because Sharia Law is simply the way Muslims are doing things.”

“The Canadian government wanted the Muslims to be able to regulate their own issues….to solve their problems amongst themselves [according] to Sharia Law, so it is not a burden on the court system which is already so bogged down.

“The government told us – we would like you to have this system, and we would like to work on these initiatives with you.”

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau told CBC in January 2016 that “Islam is not incompatible with Western secular democracy.”

ACD, however, has challenged this assumption with various facts on Islam and Islamists:

For example, the Quran states that “Men are caretakers of women… As for women of whom you fear rebellion, convince them, and leave them apart in beds, and beat them (lightly without causing injury)…” (Quran 4:34)

In his book, Human Rights in Islam and Common Misconceptions , Abdul-Rahman al-Sheha writes that “the non-Muslim residents of an Islamic state are required to pay a minimal tax called ‘Jizyah.'”

He also notes that “Allah set the penalty of cutting the hand as a penalty for theft,” and says that “if the robber kills and seizes the money, the punishment may be killing and crucifixion. If he takes money and threatens but does not kill or assault, the punishment may be amputation of his hand and leg. If he kills the victim but does not take his money, he may be executed as in murder.”

In a previous article, the ACD exposed a video on Muslim religious leaders’ belief that LGBT individuals should be executed.

In that article, ACD’s Dr. Rachel Ehrenfeld noted that “the Islamists make no secret of their views. They promote them in mosques, public lectures, articles and books often distributed free in bookstores and on city street corners.”

Countering those opposed to Sharia Law recognition, the Canadian government’s Standing Committee on Canadian Heritage completed a draft of its Motion M-103 report, which recognizes “the need to…condemn Islamophobia” and “take action” against “religious discrimination including Islamophobia.”

According to the Ontario Human Rights Commission, Islamophobia includes “acts of intolerance and racial profiling” towards Muslims as well as “viewing Muslims as a greater security threat on an institutional, systemic and societal level.”

One step at a time. One step at a time and the creeping World Wide Caliphate is on its way.  Coming soon to a country BESIDE you.  Now I have as much desire to return to Canada as I have to go to Syria or Iran.

Oh yes, that is Justin Trudeau in the photo, the one not wearing a cover on his head.

Perhaps there SHOULD be a wall built between Canada and the USA.

Let's lhave a poll. All in favour of a wall being built between Canada and the USA, thumb up this comment.  Anyone who thinks not, please leave a comment to indicate why you feel that way.

To hell with the wall the USA should have annexed Canada long ago. If not for the US. they'd be speaking Russian by now.

Well, at the moment, the migration is northward. As you probably know, many celebrities promised to move to Canada if Trump was elected.  As well, many illegals are trekking through the snow and crossing the longest unguarded border in the world.

That's why Canada has no worries about their defense, they spend very little on defense for a country that size. They know that the US would never allow anyone to invade Canada because that Border would be a nightmare. I do worry about the border though because no matter how carefully we vet Muslim immigrants in the US if Canada doesn't do the same they can easily cross the border. No that it matters much because with all the Saudi funded Wahhabi Mosques in the US the Children of even the most liberal Muslim Immigrants end up learning a radical form of Islam.

I recall from high school English class learning a poem written by a Canadian poet, but I can no longer find it, and I remember only this line from it: "And leave our defence to the Yankees."  The DEW (Distant Early Warning) Line was a series of radar stations across Canada's north that was operated jointly by Canada and the USA.  The only thing they ever reported, I think, was on Christmas eve they announced over Canada's CBC radio a flying object heading south from the north pole, wait a sec, it looks like a big sled pulled by a bunch of Raindeer....   LOL

I just spent over an hour looking for that poem but not luck. I did find an interesting article from 1971  http://regimentalrogue.com/misc/1972_Galloway_Defence_The_Great_Canadian_Fairy_Tale.htm  I like reading articles like this as they are a Time Capsule. One of the most interesting things mentioned was Canada's involvement and contribution to NORAD. the Author Colonel Strome Galloway critically states "At the moment, many people consider Canada should withdraw from NORAD, since the U.S. dare not abandon any sector of it and hope to survive a Sino-American or a Soviet-American war" Given his low opinion of Pierre Elliott Trudeau ( he writes "Canada is on the eve of its first general election since June, 1968, when a phenomenon known as "Trudeaumania" propelled a politically unknown professor named Pierre Elliott Trudeau into power. Today, pre-election stickers bear the words, "Trudeau—Canada's biggest mistake." The coming election will be the most important since Confederation, 105 years ago. Grave domestic issues divide the country. Foremost among these issues are high unemployment, increasing foreign ownership of Canadian industry, and a whole galaxy of other burning matters stemming from the controversial policies of the Trudeau Government.) I have to wonder what he would say today about Justin Trudeau if he were still living.

LOL.  Enjoyed reading your comment.  Pierre Elliott Trudeau served many years as Canada's Prime Minister (there is no limit to the number of terms as in the USA) and IMO was one of the best Prime Ministers Canada ever had, even though he was thoroughly disliked by American politicians. I will assume that Galloway was a Canadian Conservative (both in his politics and his party), and his comments about Pierre Elliott Trudeau would be no different than what Democrats/Liberals in the USA have to say about Trump.  I think Justin's father would turn over in his grave if he knew what his son was doing notwithstanding they were/are both Liberals.  Pierre Elliott Trudeau served a total of around 15 years as Canada's Prime Minister, having won FOUR elections, nothwithstanding what Galloway had to say.  If Justin isn't dethroned as soon as possible, I do believe he will succeed in making Canada a third world country.
