I don't think porn stars do it as much as the old strippers. But they often had very colourful names. And often names associated with weather. (There was a famous stripper who called herself "Tempest Storm".}
Sometimes puns-- or names that were "clever". Another famous stripper from the past was "Blaze Starr". There's a contemporary stripper named "Dita Von Teese".
