My Grandfather and Father fought in WWII and both DAV. My Brother and 4 Cousins fought in the Vietnam war and all were DAV's. My Mother and Grandmother worked in the offices at what was Muroc Air base during WWII in communications. My Father was one of the first to grade the landing strip at that air base in order to train the RAF before America join in the war. I myself and my Mother were volunteers who made lap blankets for the injured military personnel in wheelchairs at the VA during the Vietnam War.
So.....YOU are not the only one who has served for our country, nor are a DAV. So don't be so smugly quick to belittle others when you know NOTHING about their family or personal life. Especially, when it comes to military service.
