Lol Amac.  You have to understand, the beauty of a reflection in a stream doesn't stand a chance when competing with a knot in your stomach.  You can look at a beautiful butterfly, but can you relax when a good porn star is asked about her sex life?

Oh, I love the country road with the fence and the field made to look like an old photo, but do you expect me to miss the next episode of "Stormy"?  Of course not.  You would want me to do something about the knot in my stomach and drilling a porn star would soothe my nerves a little, but you, Enoch and Buzz have something going there with the "Beauty, Inspiration and Spot On."

Thanks, the photos are excellent as usual.  Thank you for the time you always take to provide us with memories and dreams.

My pleasure, Six.

Back in the day … before I retired … as a union business agent and legislative representative, I entered many a hearing with some management representative's metaphorical ass in a paper trail in my briefcase.

These many years later, I much prefer, as you put it … taking the time to provide …

"Beauty, Inspiration and Spot On."

Love them all, but the fence and cow pasture is my favorite.

.

My favorite as well Kavika.

Reminded me of one my daughter took when she and her dog Nugget, (looked like a gold nugget as a pup), were visiting here some years back.

I think it was the first time he had ever seen cows and was desperate to get past the fence to play with them.

Thanks Kavika.

I'll pass the nods of appreciation on to my daughter & nugget.  They did the work on that one. (smile)

That's a "story-telling" photo A.H.   The dog's ears are what makes the photo something more than just a photo.

Believe it or not, I live within walking distance of that cow pasture … both my house and that farm are right in Philly.

So you know how to throw a dried cow patty, the original frizbee.

The problem with a natural organic frizbee is finding someone willing to catch it from you.

When I was a kid we had a sort of organic frizbee tag, but we only got to play it one afternoon once. I'm afraid that it didn't go over too well with anybody's folks (ouch) and we had to suspend the game indifferently on penalty of hot bottoms.

Indeed! But running into that electrified fence is a game changer.

Soar the cow chip … sore the players' butts.

Works for me.

TTGA, I can see that you didn't have a lot of experience with natures frizbee's....First off it dries out on the side facing the sun. To make it a natural frizbee, you have to turn it over to cook on both sides in the sun...(cow dung 101)...Then and only then to you throw it...

You have to admit that a electric fence would let you know when you were out of bounds real quick.

Actually, that was nightwalker you were replying to Kav.  FRISBEE?????  And I always thought that was second base; sliding in can be a real experience.

Number three is definitely my favorite, although the other two are close behind.  I'm just partial to reflection scenes.

I'm going against the tide but I like the reflecting water, the butterfly and the road in that order. If you added a 8' wide irrigation ditch that cut under the road and RR tracks along the left of the road you'd have the southern view of my folk's field where I was raised.

They're ALL great pics.

Interesting challenge and doable to a degree in the digital art era. I could probably put the RR tracks (and a train) along the left of the road … not sure how I'd do the ditch.

Maybe one time I'll try it and post the results.

If you considered the pic you have, the road running east-to-west, the ditch would run north-to-south, under the road and under a small trestle made of RR beams. I swam in that ditch a lot, but that trestle scared the hell out of me, 6' deep, narrowed to 4' wide and 6"-8" water clearance at the top, and not ONE of us brave enough to go under THAT.

I guess kids aren't a dumb as people sometimes think.
