After the Rain

After a spring rain … while skies are still overcast … the light is soft and the raindrops add a sparkle to surfaces like those on flowers.

So it is, and so well depicted by you.

“Art is in the eye of the beholder, and everyone will have their own interpretation.” - E.A. Bucchianeri

So one might add to Sir Thomas Browne's quote, "and God is the Art of Man."

Beautiful picture A.

Lovely.  Will I ever see, again, your photos of paths through the woods or a stream waiting for me to fish in?

Here ya' go, Maggie.

This trail goes deep into the woods … at this point, it looks inviting … but the further in one goes, the rhododendron get taller and the path, narrower. This is not (IMO), a trail to go into deeply by one's self …

… I should follow my own advice … and I think on future walks in … I will go with a friend.

I just love that...thank you.

Following the trail through our once farm we could be hiking it and run across white sand rather than dirt.  What do you think of that?

How close to the New Madrid fault area is the property?

Without knowing where the trail was located, this to get some idea of the regional geology, I couldn't speculate on the reason for the sand. Could it have been dumped there via human activity, or, be some sort of outcropping?

Wish I could provide a theory, Maggie.

It is not just in one place, but even back deep in the woods where the springs are located.
