I think that A.Mac and I are of similar minds, and it is not just because of their non-interest in photo-essays, but in any topic OTHER than religion or politics. Just check out who are the persons who also contribute to the various topical groups and the many who ignore them, and ignore most everything EXCEPT religion and politics, even those on other topics that are on the Front Page. I am not quite so egotistical or hungry for attention as you are alluding to for having made the statement, agreeing with A.Mac's statement.
The lament was mine Pat; I spend a fair amount of time on the FP, but, would like to see those who virtually never leave the FP, to take a respite now and then, not just to enjoy the artwork, but, to understand that some of us the see ONLY on the FP, have a civil, more sensitive side and views.
If I made any remark about having so few comments on my photo essays as compared to articles that are preferred by the majority of members, such as politics, religion, guns, etc. it was a comment not for the purpose of disparagement but a lement due to disappointment. Do you resent my feeling disappointed? A.Mac feels the same way I do, and has made similar comments, but I'm the one you criticize. Thank you.
Nice. The guy in the first photo is serious about getting a nice pic.
After your last set I looked up about the lotus. There is a way to grow them at home in containers. Some people grow them indoors. I am going to try it one of these days.
I think that's what I'm seeing at somebody's house on my drive home. At first I thought it was elephant ears, but they get huge blossoms like here in Buzz photos. They're growing in 5 gallon paint buckets.
Buzz....these are huge! And beautiful. Thanks for sharing
There are several youtube videos on how to grow them. I won't post them since Buzz couldn't see them.
Basically all you do is plant them in clayish (didn't look like our kind of clay) soil, put gravel or something on top and submerge it in a larger container. It seemed fairly simple, one just needs to keep the water level up and or changed out.
Put some Lotus in your life.
Nice.
Next time, give a couple macro close-ups. Flowers are cool.
Nice essay Buzz. The lotus is such a beautiful flower.
Good work … continue to LOTUS up more great photography.
It's discouraging that such outstanding photography is virtually ignored in deference to the FP acrimony!
Sad, but true. However, we need not provide much respect for those with such limited interests.
So you assume that people who don't come to your articles have "limited interests" ?

Thank you A Mac, but Buzz made a disparaging comment toward people who don't go to his articles.

Good idea. I think I'll try that myself.

Relaxing photos to enjoy with my evening coffee...thanks Buzz!
Lotus are lovely flowers, you've captured them well.
How pretty. I just love the blossoms and all the green.
I am hoping to finish my hummingbird garden this week. I will post pics as soon as I do.
Looking forward to them. I enjoyed watching the hummingbirds at the feeder at my lakeside home.
Beautiful photos Buzz. I just love lotus flowers. We have some here in the local Japanese Garden.. but they are not in bloom yet.
I think this is the first time I've seen the flower, leaves, and title all at the same time.
Great pics, Buzz. Though some close ups would be cool too. Looks like a very pleasant day out among the flowers!
