What happens when devout Muslims hear about Jesus?

As the radical Islamic terrorist group Boko Haram continues its rampage of death and destruction in Nigeria, a global radio ministry is receiving miraculous testimonies of salvation in the midst of terror.

The Tide radio ministry, an international outreach committed to worldwide evangelism and discipleship that "aims to lead as many people as possible into a life-transforming relationship with Jesus Christ," broadcasts its program in the official language of Islam in Nigeria.

Shenk

Director Don Shenk tells OneNewsNow his organization is hearing amazing news.

"The most debase, calloused killer God can reform," Shenk asserts.

For example, The Tide has heard from a man who was a devout Muslim and belonged to Boko Haram. While listening to the radio, "he hears about Jesus Christ, and he hears something that's different than the message that he has learned all his life.He turned and actually gave his life to Christ," the ministrys director reports. "He went and purchased a Bible and began studying the Bible." http://www.onenewsnow.com/missions/2015/03/23/what-happens-when-devout-muslims-hear-about-jesus#.VRZF3pV0z4o

A Muslim cleric also underwent a transformation and is now praying for all Muslims.

"He writes, 'My prayer is that they settle for nothing less than discovering the pure truth which starts with this: God took on human flesh and died on a cross for all of us,'" Shenk relays.

He encourages Christians to remember that their prayers are effective.

We need to pray for religious freedom everywhere so that anyone, anywhere can freely believe or not, express those beliefs, or not, and be able to pray or not, without fear.

It is not possible to seed anything to religion and ethics (or any other topic listed) without it also appearing on the front page.

What happens when a Muslim reads about God telling someone to kill their baby to prove that they love God more than their baby? Or when they read about a father who is willing to let his daughters be violently raped just to save a stranger who happens to be a man? I'm sure that doesn't end well. The bible is filled with sick and twisted crap.

Did God actually allow Abraham to go through with it? Did the angels (not men) allow Lot to give his daughters to the Sodomites? Or did they strike them down with blindness before destroying their city for their evil ways?

So, there's nothing sick and twisted about telling someone "kill your baby to prove you love me"? And there's nothing wrong with glorifying a man who was willing to sacrifice his daughters in the most horrific way possible, for the good of a complete stranger? Wow. It's not atheists that the public needs to be weary of, it's anyone who agrees with that.

Lot was never glorified. He was always making wrong choices and after being spared the destruction of Sodom and making yet another mistake, is never heard from in the Bible again.

The story of Lot is just one of many ways that scripture identified women as subservient to men. This concept starts at the very beginning of the bible, and permeates the entire thing with language sometimes overt and sometimes thinly veiled. For a book so universally accepted as a work of divine perfection to include such heinous and vile plot lines is incomprehensible. The Koran has not nothing on the Bible when it comes to contemptuous and inherently immoral parables.

Dude! Never glorified!?, another mistake!?, never heard from in the Bible again?

That "other mistake", you know the one where he getshis two daughters pregnant, led to a whole frecking nation, oneblessed &mentioned by the Big Guy itself. The Moabites.

Deuteronomy 2:9 KJV:

Yahweh said to me, "Don't bother Moab, neither contend with them in battle; for I will not give you of his land for a possession; because I have given Ar to the children of Lot ...

Then of course there's Ruth, one of the decedents of Lot's incest, who was King David's what, Great Grandmother?

I guess Hal has a point.

So after Lot got drunk and did that, where is he ever again mentioned as a person? He isn't. As to Ruth, she was a good person regardless of what had happened over 500 years before she was born. Rahab, the prostitute in Jericho is also in David and Jesus ancestor line.

Just another in a long line of inbred freaks. But what do you expect when you start out with just two people?

Two people who were freshly created in God's own image and were perfect. It wasn't until we degraded over time that what you speak of became a real problem and it was done away with. As to inbred, we're talking about about 2,000 years of generations from Abraham to Jesus.

Yes, it was just perfect - with man being made first, and totally from scratch (aka dirt), and in the image of God, who of course is a man himself. Our perfect creator couldn't be troubled to extend the same courtesy to women, so he just hacked a chunk off of the perfect man and made it a woman - to make it clear that the existence of the woman was entirely dependent on the existence of the man (aka subservience). Perfection, from a man's point of view anyway. For woman, not so much ... but who gives a crap about women anyways? They're just there to take care of the man and make babies, as any good Christian knows.

Not really. All it takes is for a Christian to say anything at all positive about our faith and beliefs and the God haters come out of the woodwork.

How do you hate something that doesn't exist? Do you hate Krampus? Or do you just find it to be a silly bit of fiction?

Anyone who believes that the earth is about 6000 years old is willfully ignorant and in denial of physical, chemical, anthropological and geologic data, period.

They're just there to take care of the man and make babies,

These days they're just here to sleep their way to the top & steal money from men with false sexual harassment lawsuits ... Why doesn't someone come up with a mythology to deal with that ?

I think its funny to see an atheist cuss. It's an LOL to see one invoke a God they deny exists to curse another person to a hell they believe will never happen. Its about as ironic as a mom calling her own son a sob.
