Crepuscular Rays in an Image ~ "Jacob's Ladder"
Crepuscular rays /krɪˈpʌskjʊlər/ (more commonly known as sunbeams, sun rays , or god rays ), in atmospheric optics, are rays of sunlight that appear to radiate from the point in the sky where the sun is located. ... Crepuscular comes from the Latin word "crepusculum", meaning twilight.
Not surprisingly, perhaps, this spectacular meteorological phenomenon has often been connected with spiritual beliefs. It is known colloquially as ‘Jacob’s Ladder’, referring to Jacob’s dream of seeing a ladder to heaven in Genesis.
“God is the Sun and when His rays fall upon your heart, not impeded by the clouds of egoism, the lotus blooms and the petals unfold.” – Sri Sathya Sai Baba

In each photo, I digitally added the rays … I'm pretty happy with the results.
And I'll add the music - if not a Ladder to Heaven, A Stairway to Heaven (Led Zeppelin):
I thought I'd give it a try as well. I think it is important to seek a photo that is backlit:
Backlighting affords a "logical" setting for images with rays and flairs added digitally as "post processing."
But, "logic" is not always a requisite for "ART." Rays of light and flairs, strategically placed and judiciously controlled with regard to intensity, imply a kind of spirituality … which, by its very denotation and connotation, not only defies logic and reality, but implies a kind of hope … perhaps of "something better and far superior to ourselves, a cosmic homecoming … a Merciful God in Heaven …
Mt two cents.
Anyone around?
Sending you a PN about that.
Really beautiful photos Mac...
Well done.
