Dershowitz has just reiterated exactly what I posted on another article here about the seriousness of releasing a confidential discussion between a lawyer and client, and that disbarment could follow.  As Dershowitz has said, how can anyone rely on confidentiality between lawyer and client, doctor and patient, priest and confessor, etc. if this is permitted.

It's not clear which Trump tape Dershowitz is referring to, but presumably it was Trump's current lawyers who leaked it to distract the public from other issues like the fact that Trump is a traitor who is wholly owned by Putin.    Note that the leak only occurred after Trump's lawyers received the recording.

As far as whether the tape was " privileged " under the rules of the special master in this case I believe at least 12 tapes were not considered so.......and less than 0.3% of the material seized by the feds was claimed to be privileged and the special master just ruled that 1/3rd of those claimed by Cohen & Trump were not actually privileged.

While Cohen may well have already lost his ability to practice law in NY, only a moron would have ever used him anyway.    Also note that conversations involving conspiracies to commit future crimes are not privileged.

Few privileged files

Barbara Jones, the court-appointed special master in Cohen's case, in a court filing Wednesday said that out of more than 887,000 documents seized from Cohen in April, just 4,085 items were designated as privileged by Cohen's and Trump's legal teams.

The remaining items, or more than 883,000 files, were turned over last week to prosecutors.

Jones said she has determined that just 2,633 items flagged by Cohen and Trump's lawyers are actually privileged or partially privileged, while the remaining 1,452 items are not.

Jones' report, filed in U.S. District Court in Manhattan, said Cohen's team objected to the designation of "not privileged" for 22 of the items, "but has advised the Special Master that he will not raise these objections with the Court."

"Accordingly, all 1,452 items that have been designated 'not privileged' will be promptly released to the Government," Jones wrote.

Pretty funny than the right is more concerned with who leaked the tape than they are about the content of the tape.

Donny committing crimes? Good.

Exposing donny's crimes? Bad.

Got it.
