Trump is misusing troops for a racist stunt that could cost $300 million

Trump’s campaign season stunt of sending thousands of U.S. active duty troops to the Mexico border to fend off a non-existent “invasion” will likely come with gigantic price tag of hundreds of millions of dollars. And that cost could balloon if the political production is extended into 2019.
For now, Trump has ordered approximately 8,000 troops be dispatched to the border to supposedly reinforce security as refugees from Central American slowly make their way to the United States in search of asylum.
Based on Pentagon estimates for how much it costs to deploy active duty troops, and the machinery that accompanies whenever they go into action, the border stunt “could cost between $200 million and $300 million” this year, CNN reports .

You obviously live nowhere near the border! I, on the other hand, live about 6 blocks from the AZ/Mexico border fence. The invasion has been going on for years. It is the citizens and legal residents on the border that are the forgotten and/or ignored victims of said invasion. The mainstream media and liberals in general tend to ignore what people down here go through on a routine basis. They ignore or do not see the mountains of trash illegals leave in their wake passing through farms and ranches on the border. They do not see the property damages from broken fencing, break ins to houses looking for food and/or weapons. The slaughtered cattle and family pets they kill. I am retired military who served his country honorably for 20 years that included two wars. I am also 3rd generation Hispanic American who loves his country dearly and have shed my blood for it. Many liberals want the illegals let into this country with no consequences for illegally entering this country. I would much rather see more help given to homeless vets and taking care of the poor and other citizens of this country in need than giving illegals a free handout. Based on the above, I fully support use of troops on the border to help and augment the CBP in stemming the flow of drugs an illegals flowing across a Southern border that is a porous as pasta colander.
Should have stuck with His Military Parade, I believe that was a bargain at a mere 20-25 million or so.
Travesty and total waste of money and troops and their time. Just another example of the way Trump and the GOP uses our troops as props. All that money should have been spent on raising veterans up out of homelessness or raising the pay of active duty members.
