Continuing With 10 More Randomly Chosen Photos From My Collection
My photos are chosen from thousands I have taken during my 12 1/2 years here in China. Some you may have seen before, but all have been re-edited and framed for these retrospective presentations. Please feel free to ask me anything you would like to know about any of them and what they depict, and if I can overcome the forgetfulness common for my age I will do my best to answer. As an encouragement for me to continue posting these photos, I would appreciate knowing that some of you have visited by at least posting a "thumb-up" if not a comment.
1. Not for Hallowe'en, but demonic masks are hung in Chinese homes to ward off evil spirits.
2. Taken on a visit to an ancient Chinese village near Chengdu in Sichuan Province.
3. A statue about 12 feet high on the campus of Sichuan Institute of Fine Arts, across the road from where we live in Chongqing.
4. It was a grey day, a good day for ducks.
5. A view of the misty mountains from our apartment balcony.
6. A wall mural opposite the one I posted previously. This one appears to depict scenes of everyday life in ancient times - working, playing, teaching, etc.
7. An outdoor fruit market around the corner from where we used to live in Zhengzhou, Henan Province.
8. The building in which we presently live is in the background.
9. A scene from the beautifully wooded and landscaped Sichuan Institute of Fine Arts
10. A nighttime shot of downtown Chongqing from across the Jialing River
Stay tuned.......more to come.
Very nice Buzz.
Great photos, Buzz. I really like the photo of the fruit market.
I probably have at least 100 photos of outdoor food markets.
#3 looks like a chinese trump, hahahaha.
Now now, Pat, please no politics on my photo-essays. However, I guess it was the orange hair that caused it. LOL
Sorry Buzz, I couldn't help it. No more politics on your articles, promise.
That only applies on my photo-essays and movie articles (unless they're about political movies). Otherwise I'm not restricting you.
Tbe head is very cool!
The fine arts institute looks like it has beautiful landscaping.
It is. I've already posted a few photo-essays about it.
I love the way they switch between the peaceful landscapes like that one and the brightly lit and very colorful city landscapes, many of them in the same area. Absolutely brilliant artistic sense.
