I rarely check out the clickbait articles at the side or bottom of the Front Page, but this one caught my eye, and I thought I would share it since many NT members are interested in cars.
The author picked the Jaguar XKE to be his choice, but I had a friend and client who owned one and said he would never buy another Jaguar, as his spent about half its life in the mechanic's garage. Some of you already know that the car of my dreams is the 1959 Jaguar Mark IX. However, if I'm to choose from those depicted in this article I would choose either one of the Gull-Wing Mercedes, classic or new.
Does anyone know what kind of car number 12 is - "the fastest machine on the roads"?
So what choice from those shown here would YOU make?
The Mercedes 300 Gull Wing a classic among classics and my favorite.
The fastest car photo is the Bugatti Veyron SS.
All the photos are fantastic, Buzz. Well done.
Aha! A Bugatti. I know what they look like from the grill, but you can't see it in that photo.
Not my photos, but our choice of the one we want the most is the same.
Easy.
Number 7, the Ferrari 412S.
I like all of the rides above.
But I'd sure settle for another "69 camaro Z28" ai least that I was OK driving it like I stole it. LOL
If I can't have another 69 camaro I'd even settle for another one of these,
69 chevelle convertible 396 4 sp
Good Times !!!
LOL My father even liked this one, He said most of my cars were was too damn fast,
This one was as well, I think he just liked riding in it with the top down. LOL
LOL.. Hell these days I'd even like to have this one back again.
69 GTO
LOL I did have all of these and more, BUT it was back when ya could get them for a song. Man I wish I had all the muscle cars now that I've had. $$$$$$$$$$ !!!
LOL ...
Either the E-Type or the Elan...
So what choice from those shown here would YOU take?
ALL OF THEM that's why I dont go to car shows ! It hurts ! lol
....................
I may leave the Nova though, although it'd be a fun one ta trash.
lol
Now, if I were a billionaire, I would have in my 3 double garages a new chauffeur-driven Rolls Royce phantom limo, a new Mercedes gull-wing, a new Bentley convertible, a restored 1959 Jaguar Mark IX, a new Mercedes Smart Car, and only one American car - a new Cadillac Escalade. Being so rich I would not be concerned about the price of gas, so no hybrids or electrics would be required.
I'm curious - if you were a billionaire, what cars (forget about motorcycles for this question) would you want to own? I think Buffet, who is exceptionally frugal for his wealth, probably has only one car, a slightly aged American mid-size car.
Buffet can keep his car.
That's a tough question. The answer would be between 3 cars.
Would it be the Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe? Or, the Ferrari 330 P3? Or the Ford GT?
Drum roll......
Of course with more to own, we already know the next two.
Then I think I need a 1959 Ford F100 resto modded with 4wd.
