If Trump Stopped Lying, Would His Followers Worry That There Was Something Wrong With Him?
A couple nights ago Trump held a rally in Grand Rapids Michigan , which is a mid sized city in west central Michigan. There are roughly one million people in the Grand Rapids metropolitan area.
Michigan is pretty much surrounded by large bodies of water, except at the very bottom of the state where it borders with Indiana and Ohio. I haven't measured it, but just looking at the map I can see that Michigan probably has more shoreline than any state of the Union not named California or Florida.
So Trump thought he would pander to the voters in Grand Rapids, and made the statement that he was going to give approval to a program that is doing environmental projects on the Great Lakes.

According to Fact Check.org , the GLRI has had funding of 300 million (in one year more) since it started 9 years ago.

But here is the real kicker - until the other day, Trump has been trying to severely cut the funding to the program.
In his last two budget proposals, including the fiscal year 2020 budget released this month, Trump proposed just $30 million — the equivalent of a 90 percent cut. In his first proposed budget for fiscal year 2018, the president allotted zero funding for the program.
So this clown claims credit for an environmental program that he has actually been trying to destroy.
And the crowd cheered.
I think they realize that it is only when he is lying that he is truly their hero.

I had never heard of it and I don’t really care what Trump said about it. Although reading about it now, I oppose any funding of it. The Federal Government should not be involved. It should be left to the states

My question is about the posted article. The topic is not whether you approve of Donald Trump. This man lies like this virtually every day. He's not fit to be president of the United States, period.

Yes, we all know politicians embellish, exaggerate, obfuscate, and often don't tell you the whole truth. But Trump has taken what was a careful art-form of politicians being partly right while spinning a narrative to just outright bald-faced lies. Trump tells lies more than he speaks truth and for most Americans, they're sick of it which is why the vast majority disapprove of the job he's doing and just turn him off and tune him out when he starts spouting non-stop self aggrandizing lie after lie.
And saying "Hey, the other guys did it too" is no defense of bad behavior. Trumps lies reveal him to be untrustworthy in all things, anyone trusting Trump will eventually get stabbed in the back like so many before. There is only one person Trump cares about, and that is himself. He would sacrifice every single American including every one of his own children, even Ivanka though she'd likely be last, to the fire if it were to save his own skin. Yet he is a hero of the religious conservatives. Maybe he reminds them of Abraham, willing to kill his own child if the voice in his head told him to.

You are upset Trump is doing exactly what Obama, Clinton, Bush, and every other politician does because he beat who you "thought" should be in that position. Since November 2016, you and the rest of the left, have been acting like a spoiled kid in the candy aisle at Walmart. You didn't get your way so you are pitching one hell of a temper tantrum. Since taking office there have been more achievements made than his predecessor had in his 8 years in office. Record low unemployment, record high stock market, record high jobs (looks like the magic wand Obama mentioned was quickly located and put to use), more has been done against ISIS than his predecessor.

Here is an idea, since the whole impeachment thing isn't working out. Find a good Democratic candidate (with Biden not even being allowed in the bursting Democrat clown car that will be hard). Help them win the party nomination. Then help them beat Trump in the national elections. Should be easy enough. I am sure there is a poll somewhere stating that any unspecified Democrat candidate would beat Trump easily if the elections were held now.
