Trump ratchets up the corruption: Finalists to host 2020 G7 summit include Trump golf resort
The Doral is a major resort that’s been one of Trump’s biggest moneymakers, but profits have dropped significantly since he made the Trump name so toxic. The resort even lost a major golf tournament it had previously hosted because sponsors withdrew from the association with Donald.

Donald Trump is getting bolder than ever in his efforts to profit off of the presidency. His Trump National Doral is  one of the finalists  to host next year’s G7 summit, Axios reports.

The Doral is a major resort that’s been one of Trump’s biggest moneymakers, but  profits have dropped  significantly since he made the Trump name so toxic. The resort even lost a major golf tournament it had previously hosted because sponsors withdrew from the association with Donald. But he’s  been pushing  the idea of hosting the G7 at the property, with the attendant direct business from hosting it and the rush of publicity.

Rather than saying “it would be too flagrantly corrupt even for you and your administration to mix your private business with your public office to this degree,” apparently people in the Trump administration are going right along, at least to the point of putting the Trump property on the list of finalists for a major international diplomatic event.” This is Trump’s America.

Major international meeting to be held at one of the generalissimo's own haciendas.

Sounds like a banana republic.

This is why the president no longer runs the Trump Corporation - so that it can continue to do business without involving the president.

Now if we end up with evidence that Trump himself is involved in the bidding or the selection process, then I would have a complaint, but it seems premature to accuse the president of corruption. The appearance of potential wrongdoing is not the same as actual wrongdoing.

Because it's not about gullibility - which is the back end of belief. Show me evidence, not innuendo, and I will happily throw the bum out.

The evidence has been shown time and again Tacos...  The details are endless for those that WANT to see them.

  • First daughter Ivanka Trump has been hauling in Chinese trademarks for her products.
  • Son-in-law Jared Kushner has been shopping loans in the tens of millions and beyond from Mid-Eastern leaders.
  • Trump Foundation admits to self-dealing to pay legal debts.

Just go look for yourself.

Is any of what Trump doing illegal?

Not if you follow the doctrine of money raising past presidents have used. They only wish they had resorts for people to pay to meet them at.

But details, details, details.

Don't see the Democrats working on changing the laws; they are too busy taking notes on how the fleece their followers, and government, in the future to care.
