"A.D. The Bible Continues," the latest Biblical epic by Mark Burnett and Roma Downey, is already generating buzz, and now Newsmax has obtained a sneak peek at the eagerly-awaited TV miniseries.

The latest installment of the Biblical series is based on the life and times of Jesus, his apostles, and the rise of the church. It will debut on NBC on Easter Sunday April 5 and air on the following 11 Sundays in prime time.

"A.D. The Bible Continues" is the follow-up to "The Bible," the 2013 hit mini-series that focused on stories from the Old and New Testaments, leading up to the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Some of the series was compiled along with new footage into the movie "Son of God," released in February 2014.

I can't wait to see this mini series. I watched The Bible and now own it and saw Son of God and now have that DVDS. This couple is doing a great work. There is a real hunger for programs and movies like this
