I’m glad that this 2nd task force is being created. It’s time now to plan as the slope begins to go down to plan for re opening our country and economy. The experts will have lots of data to go on by the end of the month. All of America and the American people are praying with and for our President as he makes these decisions. Some parts of the country will not be ready to open on May 1st. For the rest we will be giving that date a new meaning.

Speaking to reporters at the White House Friday afternoon, President Trump gave additional details about a new council dedicated to reopening the economy.
"We're setting up a council of very very great doctors and business people. We're going to be announcing it on Tuesday. Some great people. This is beyond economic. I call it our Opening Our Country task force or council," Trump said. "We're going to have a great group of people." President Trump explained meetings will be held by teleconference to avoid travel. The council will be made up of individuals from a number of different sectors and locations across the country.
"I want to get it open as soon as possible," Trump said. "I would love to open it, I have not determined anything. The facts are going to determine what I do."
Near the end of the daily Wuhan coronavirus task force briefing President Trump said he is proud of the decisions made to keep people from contracting the disease. He also stressed he believes two million Americans may have died if the task force hadn't made decisions to close businesses and implement social distancing measures.
"This is the biggest decision of my life," Trump said about the timing on opening the economy while balancing public health implications.
"The American people have been so disciplined. It's been my honor to be their President. I've said it before, I'll say it again, I'll say it always. It's been my great honor to have been their President and I have a big decision coming up and I only hope to God that it's the right decision. It'll be based on input from a lot of very talented people, a lot of smart people and people who love our country," he concluded.

Trump says next Tuesday he will announce the members of an "Opening Our Country Council," which will touch on economic issues http://www. cbsnews.com/coronavirus
On Friday afternoon CNN's Jim Acosta accused President Trump of engaging in "happy talk" during daily briefings on Wuhan coronavirus. In short order, he got completely wrecked.
"Mr. President, we hear from a lot of people who see these briefings as sort of 'happy talk' briefings," Acosta said.
"No happy talk today," President Trump replied, praising the task force.
"This is not happy talk. Maybe it's happy talk for you. It's not happy talk for me. We're talking about death. We're talking about the greatest economy in the world one day I have to close it off. And we did the right thing because maybe it would have been two million people died instead of whatever that final number will be. Which could be 60, 70, could 75, could be 55 [thousand]," he said. "Thousands of people have died. There's nothing happy about it Jim. This is sad talk. These are the saddest news conference that I've ever had. I don't like doing them, you know why? Because I'm talking about death. I'm talking about taking the greatest economy ever created. We had the greatest numbers we've ever had in almost every aspect of economics."
"There's no happy talk Jim. This is the real deal and I've got to make the biggest decision of my life," he continued in reference to opening the economy. "I've made a lot of big decisions in my life...this is by far the biggest decision of my life." https://townhall.com/tipsheet/katiepavlich/2020/04/10/president-trump-thoroughly-embarrasses-jim-acosta-for-saying-briefings-are-happy-talk-n2566721
Jim @ Acosta says that the press conferences are "happy talk" briefings.
President Trump: "This is not happy talk for me. Maybe it's happy talk for you. We're talking about death."
What is Acosta trying to do? That was an absurd approach by him.
Some days Trump isn't very presidential, but on a lot of days Acosta isn't much of a journalist. He's more like a troll, and not a very creative one at that.
The typical cnn fake news way. Reporters are responsible as well for how these press briefings turn out due to the stupid and or angry/hostile questions they ask and expect answered.
Why wasn't he this concerned back in January...oh that's right, it was a democratic hoax (not the virus, but the concern that it was something bigger than crooked donnie was making it out to be) you know that it would be gone poof, just like that
In January the President created the corona virus commission and stopped non citizen travel from China to the USA while the democrat party was all absorbed in their faux impeachment frenzy. Democrats lied and people died.
He didn't stop SHIT.
After it was already here, and who knows for how long.
Even though numerous democrats had expressed concern about thevirus. But what you are really saying is that Trump, and the GOP in general cannot focus on more than one thing at a time. As such, they are mentally incapable of governing.
No one has been able to stop all travel or the spread of disease, so what is your complaint? That Trump is not the one magical leader who can defeat disease all by himself? He has done what could be legally be done at the times that were reasonable.
Yeah, that sucks, but it not as if people were clamoring for him to make that move any sooner. In fact, he was attacked as xenophobic and racist for doing it when he did.
Any that said shut off all foreign travel into the US? Because that's about the only thing that had a chance of working, and we don't even know that for sure. It may have been here longer than we know.
It's easy to express "concern" but that doesn't tell us much.
Why wasn't the WHO more concerned? Why weren't a lot of doctors? Why were Democratic Party leaders urging people to go out on the town and enjoy life? The answer is a lot of people didn't think this would become a serious pandemic back in January.
As you say, he never said the disease was a hoax, so I don't understand why you bring it up. He said that Democrats trying to make a scandal out of it was "their" new hoax. That's just the usual partisan jabs and has nothing to do with how anyone feels about or responds to the outbreak.
What do you think is gained by splitting hairs about things that happened in January? Is it a distraction from the things being done now that seem to be the right things? Does it hurt that much to give a little credit where it's due? Isn't it tiring to be angry all the time?
Some people I know that are on the political left exist to be perpetually angry.
But I thought the WHO wasn't to be trusted...you can't have it both ways.
Crooked donnie fucked up, end of story
Pure TDS...
Nope, I don't have Trump DENIAL syndrome
You are in total denial as to how good a job Trump is doing as our American President.
Always waging the good fight for God and country.
I'm not denying that he is doing a shitty job as president, and that he is the WORST president in the history of the United States.
If Trump hopes to God he makes the right decision, he better listen to the experts and their expert decisions, and Daddums should not listen to his greedy, money hungry and incompetent kids, nor his own greedy, money hungry wife.
He has no clue what he is doing with this emergency and his 'stable genius" is being a horses a$$ with this killer. So he best shut his know nothing mouth and let the experts handle what and and when things should be done for what's best for the country and the American people.
However, he will never listen to the experts. After all, what the Hell do they know anyway. HE is the genius and knows more than any other human being, or maybe even God.
HAHA, seriously? Donald Trump giving some sort of blessing? Holy fuck, have you all forgotten who this man is? For fucks sake, I probably have more respect for Christianity and your imaginary god than this guy does. His entire life has been a giant middle finger to the faith, and you would most likely castrate yourself at his whim. Fucking pathetic.
It was an awesome Good Friday and Easter message of hope and unity in the face of the Chinese plague.
The experts have been saying publicly that that's exactly what he has been doing.
Who would? This thing is going gang busters all over the world. Is the rest of the world clueless, too?
Experts are there to advise. They don't have responsibility for every aspect of life, society, and economy, and so on. The president does. I don't want experts "handling" anything other than whatever their expertise is. Medical experts can advise on disease. It's not their job to be educated on all the things a president has to consider.
Lol
Laughing at nothing at all?
