Senate Republicans are feeling high anxiety over President Trump ’s aggressive response to nationwide civil unrest, which they fear is alienating middle-of-the-road voters who are crucial to keeping their majority after Nov. 3.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) declared at the beginning of the election cycle that winning over college graduates and women in the suburbs would be key to retaining the Senate majority in 2020.
With the election five months away, Senate Republicans worry that Trump is blowing up that strategy with his laser-like focus on his base instead of swing voters.

They brought this on themselves by being toadies and yes people. Now they will see what NO from us really means.
“The last week and a half has certainly raised the level of angst over the politics of the presidential race and consequences on the Senate. I think it’s just kind of become one thing after another.
Initially the handling of COVID and now this,” said a Republican senator who requested anonymity to discuss conversations with GOP colleagues.

If they are taking a glass is half full approach they are headed for trouble. They need a positive attitude and a strong belief that they can do this.
They need to reflect on the story of Howard Roark in Ayn Rands masterpiece The Fountainhead. The liberal media lambasted his futuristic designs and said he was destined for failure. He shrugged off the opinions of the collective and concentrated his belief in himself the individual. If they focus on taking Howard’s path to this resistance they will have a better chance of winning.
You might be right...reflect more on Sr. Roark. (Peace Be Upon Him!)
That... and to stop fixating obsessively so much on Jesus in The Bible!
Won't work.
The problem is that most Trump supporters are semi-literate-- at best!!!! (Not only have they not read it-- but they probably never even heard of it!

Some would think that Fountainhead is when you pay a hooker for a bj in a park.

Good luck with that, Pappy.
