Claudia Conway, the 15-year-old daughter of Kellyanne Conway, counselor to President Trump, is seeking emancipation from her parents, she said on social media.

On Saturday night, after allegedly learning that her mother will speak at the Republican National Convention this week, the teen tweeted,"I'm (devastated) that my mother is actually speaking at the RNC. like DEVASTATED beyond compare."

In a follow-up post, she wrote: "i'm officially pushing for emancipation. buckle up because this is probably going to be public one way or another, unfortunately. welcome to my life."

Conway also shared the message with her TikTok followers in a video where she poses with her mouth agape.

"Just found out my mom is a speaker at the RNC...that's it. i'm out. running away phase 1 starts tomorrow at 7 am," she wrote on the video.

In subsequent tweets, Conway — who has 89,000 Instagram followers, 296,000 Twitter followers and more than 600,000 TikTok followers — opened up about why she's so candid on social media.

"I have been using social media as an outlet to express my passions, individuality, and to shed light on some hardships. i have been vulnerable for a reason. thank you for supporting me," she said.

She also specifically addressed the issues she has with her parents' work and political leanings. Her father, George Conway, is an attorney and vocal Trump critic.

my mother's job ruined my life to begin with. heartbreaking that she continues to go down that path after years of watching her children suffer. selfish. it's all about money and fame, ladies and gentlemen.

Conway has three siblings, her twin George IV, and young sisters Charlotte and Vanessa.

Turning to her father, the teen said, "As for my dad, politically, we agree on absolutely nothing. we just both happen to have common sense when it comes to our current president. stop 'stanning' him," a slang term that means to be a fan of someone.

On Sunday, Conway clarified and stood by her comments on Twitter.

"Y'all love to twist everything," she wrote. "I'm not getting emancipated because of my mom's job.. it is because of years of childhood trauma and abuse."

The social media influencer has made headlines in recent months for her anti-Trump stances online and even replying to her mother's tweets.

yes it is sad but wasn't your administration complicit in his death ?? yikes
— CLAUDIA CONWAY (@claudiamconwayy) July 31, 2020

"Herman Cain led a remarkable life and will be missed. He loved his family, the country and the Lord. He triumphed in business, beat cancer and was a voice for freedom. God bless you and yours, Herman," Kellyanne Conway wrote follow the death of the late Tea Party activist in July.

"Yes it is sad but wasn't your administration complicit in his death ?? yikes," her daughter responded.

Spokespeople for the Conway family did not immediately reply to TODAY's request for comment.

Kellyanne Conway ruined her reputation and her family to serve Donald Trump.

No one in the Trump cult ever learns their lesson.

I feel horrible for the children of Kellyanne Conway, especially Claudia.  To know that your mother's main job requirement is to lie, day in and day out, for a man with no redeeming qualities whatsoever, must be difficult to reconcile in a teenaged mind.  I have a feeling that Kellyanne will not give even the smallest of shits.  She is just like Trump...no regrets, no acceptance of responsibility.  Whenever I think of Kellyanne, I think of her biggest contribution to the Trump Administration:  Alternative facts.

When her husband turned up as a major never trumper a couple years ago it was easy to predict there was probably trouble in their family.

I do hope mother and daughter can reconcile but that won't be until after Trump is long gone from their lives.

Kellyanne sold her soul down the river in service of a cult. What else can be said about it?

Meh, most 15 year olds don’t know what they don’t know yet.

Tough age but it is a great talking point for the TDS ridden, so step in with both feet folks.

I’m sure you will.

In other news, I was at one of my nephew's baseball game today and someone walked up and handed me this and said it was for me. I guess my reputation preceded me, lol.

I think the parents need to take some time off from their jobs and spend time figuring out what's going on with their daughter with the help of professionals.  She's 15 and still needs her parents guidance and attention.

Kids airing family laundry makes me cringe.

Like KAC would leave Trump's side to take care of her family.  This close to the election, if she did back off, Trump would view it as betrayal and she might just end up with no job and under the bus.  I worry for the daughter, but she has obviously put a lot of thought into her decision after years in a dysfunctional family.  Maybe if she could stay with a relative or friend far away from this madness before she takes the final step would give her some breathing room.  Once Trump is out, maybe KAC can go back to working at Hot Dog On A Stick because the new administration won't give her the time of day.  She might also find herself being brought up on charges of violating The Hatch Act.  Conway violated the Hatch Act on numerous occasions by disparaging Democratic presidential candidates while speaking in her official capacity during television interviews and on social media.  With Trump gone, no one is going shield her.  I wish the daughter the best and hope she can get past all of this.

Yeah - this is clearly not a new situation but seems it may have escalated when mommy took a job with trump and lost all her moral principles.  I would not be surprised if the daughter gets harassed by her peers.   The parents should have addressed this by now.  The daughter has been screaming for help for some time.   I like your idea, having her go to a family member until the relationship with the parents can be worked through.

Any woman who works for Trump never had any to begin with.

I have no doubt whatsoever that this 15 year old girl feels humiliated by the fact that her mother not only supports Donald Trump but is often seen on television saying how great Trump is.  The 15 year old girl knows that her mother has repeatedly lied for Donald Trump and while lying is never good, lying for Trump is horrifying to the girl.

It's hard to see the basis for making this better but time probably will.

The article makes it clear her thinking about Trump coincides with her father not her mother.

Turning to her father, the teen said, "As for my dad, politically, we agree on absolutely nothing. we just both happen to have common sense when it comes to our current president.

Yet she wants to be emancipated from both. Why does only the mother get the blame?

John,

15 year old girls feel embarrassed when their mom's breath, much less have a life, so I am not impressed. I am sure it is not easy to be the daughter of a mom who is working all of the time, and if anything, PJ is right. Conway should be focusing on her daughter more. Both of them should. No job is worth your child.

Daughter wins

Trump aide Kellyanne Conway says she is leaving the White House at end of the month

In a statement, Conway said, “This is completely my choice and my voice. In time, I will announce future plans. For now, and for my beloved children, it will be less drama, more mama.”

Her husband, George Conway, is also leaving his role at The Lincoln Project, a group run by Republican operatives who oppose Trump. He also emphasized his desire to “devote more time to family matters,” while reiterating his support for the organization.

This shocked the crap out of me.  I'm sorry it took such a drastic move for her to exhibit compassion about her child.  I'm glad she did, though.

BTW, I seeded an article about Kellyanne resigning earlier this evening (right after the paramedics who resuscitated me left.)

Considering all of the damage to be repaired, they should do family counseling.
