Trump Lawyer Joe diGenova Says Former Cybersecurity Chief Chris Krebs Should Be Executed for Saying Election Was Secure

Trump campaign lawyer Joe diGenova declared Monday that the Trump administration's former cybersecurity chief deserves to be put to death for claiming that the presidential election was the "most secure" in the country's history.
President Trump fired Chris Krebs, his head of cybersecurity, earlier this month after Krebs disputed Trump's claim that the 2020 election was rigged against him. Krebs found himself at odds with the president after he called the election the "most secure in United States history."
"Anybody who thinks the election went well, like that idiot Krebs who used to be the head of cybersecurity that guy is a class A moron. He should be drawn and quartered. Taken out at dawn and shot," diGenova, who is also a former U.S. Attorney, said during an appearance on the Howie Carr show, broadcast on Newsmax, in comments first reported by The Bulwark.
Before he was fired by Trump in a tweet, Krebs had served as the director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency at the Department of Homeland Security since November, 2018.
In his tweet announcing Krebs's termination, Trump called his former cybersecurity chief's assessment of the election's security "highly inaccurate, in that there were massive improprieties and fraud - including dead people voting, Poll Watchers not allowed into polling locations, 'glitches' in the voting machines which changed votes from Trump to Biden, late voting, and many more."
Krebs appeared on CBS News' "60 Minutes" on Sunday and doubled down on his defense of the election's integrity.
"There is no foreign power that is flipping votes. There's no domestic actor flipping votes. I did it right. We did it right. This was a secure election," Krebs said in the interview.
The Trump campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment on diGenova's remarks.
The Trump legal team has failed to produce evidence of fraud widespread enough to change the election outcome despite claiming such fraud occurred, and many of the campaign's legal challenges to the election results in swing states won by Joe Biden have already fallen flat. Nevertheless, DiGenova claimed as recently as last week that the level of election fraud and deception that took place in Pennsylvania is "truly staggering."

Can diGenova be disbarred for advocating violence? Either that or take him out and shoot him as a preventive measure.
Too late to help the situation......
diGenova is just making sure he gets future paid invites to Fox & Friends and NewsMax podcasts.
It says he's a "former U.S. Attorney", so maybe he's already been disbarred, but in any event, as a retired attorney, I think diGenova has made himself a laughing stock among attorneys and former attorneys, and what he said should be relegated to the humour sections of the many bar reviews.
I don't know about that, but I did read in another article that Krebs will be suing him
I certainly would not blame Mr Krebs for suing. Death wishing is not something to be taken lightly.
Especially considering that Trump's brain dead minions are likely to try.
It's hyperbole, that's all. Said in the heat of the moment. Was it a stupid thing to say? Yes. I saw part of the Krebs interview this morning and the man has received death threats. If something does happen to Mr Krebs, then I believe diGenova should be held responsible.
I think it was hyperbole meant to appease his client, to massage Trumps ego and speak directly to Trumps conspiracy theory base of supporters. I don't think he actually believes it, but he's already committed to the agreed upon strategy of attacking anyone and anything that doesn't bow to their boss.
I'll go with that
Put his head on a pike.

End Times Guy Rick Wiles Hoping Trump Will Kill Us All By Firing Squad In Next Month
Last week, while we were all mostly not here and also not really paying much attention to the news, the Justice Department announced a rules change that would allow firing squads, electrocution and nitrogen gas to be used in federal death penalty cases, if the laws in the state where the prisoner is meant to be executed allow for such things. As grotesque as this is, there is not much of a point to it besides macho posturing, as President-elect Joe Biden has promised to abolish the federal death penalty once he is in office and four of the five prisoners whose executions are scheduled up until then have already chosen lethal injection.
Well, unless you ask noted End Times preacher Rick Wiles, who has his own ideas about things. Last week, during a little pre-Thanksgiving roundtable, Wiles speculated that the real reason this rules change was rushed through was because "they're gonna shoot some people" and that Trump is planning to execute all of the bad leftists in media, science, academia, etc., simply because we "deserve it."
He is very excited about this, as you might imagine.
He said:
Secretly working with the Chinese Communist Party to do what?
This just goes to show you how very little Rick Wiles even knows about "Leftists" or "Communists" in the United States. Communists do not consider China (or the former Soviet Union, for that matter) to even be communist, and tend to not be too thrilled about the human rights abuses and the labor situation over there. Particularly all the child labor.
As Tim Allen so helpfully pointed out recently, Karl Marx himself was very opposed to child labor.
I can tell you right now that as a long-time "Leftist" who works in the media, the only contact I have ever had with the Chinese Communist government were the letters I sent them in high school demanding that they free the Panchen Lama , and the only people I have heard defending American companies who use Chinese labor or products made with Chinese labor have been capitalists. You know, like Ivanka Trump .
But back to the firing squads.
Wiles's theory is honestly a little awkward, timing-wise, because wingnuts only have about a month and a half to go until they need to switch gears and start screaming about how Joe Biden is going to murder all of them with firing squads, throwing them into FEMA camps or otherwise Jade Helming them. It's like they're in a limbo period where they should really hush about all of their weird murder plans for a while. And how many professors, journalists and scientists is Donald Trump even going to be able to murder in a month and a half? Even by firing squad, that seems rather difficult to pull off. Especially since it will not change the result of the election, which he lost. It's hardly as if there's some constitutional clause that says if you murder enough of your political enemies you get to continue being president even if you lost the election.
Of course, fantasizing about getting to see all of the imaginary pro-Chinese Government Leftists getting their brains blown out is probably just what Wiles needs to do to cope with the loss of the election. It's not the route I'd go, personally, being that I faint at the sight of blood and also do not believe in the death penalty, but it is clearly what he needs to do to get through the day. Surely, he will soon adjust and be back to fantasizing about getting to watch God set us all on fire as he gets vacuumed up into heaven, or however that whole Rapture thing is supposed to go.
Not EVERYONE missed the story....
U.S. Rushing To Expand Execution Methods Like Firing Squads For Federal Death Row Inmates
2
.
So this so-called Christian has a bloody imagination. He sounds like the bad guy in the Left Behind novels. The bad guy lined up the opposition and executed them all.
Now I have one question for the legal minds out there. Does it really matter what a state will allow as far as execution methods? This is the Federal Prison system doling out the punishment. If the United States says...execute that dude by hanging, there's nothing the state of NY or CA can do about it (are there federal prisons in those states?)
Am I right?
There's a clause in the Constitution forbidding "cruel and unusual punishment". I think that it has been interpreted to mean "quick and painless" death. There's also a vague notion of "not too ugly".
Decapitation by guillotine is quick and relatively painless...but ugly. People don't have the stomach to see somebody's head lopped off.
I think the bloodthirsty people who want to see firing squads, electrocutions and hangings should witness a beheading at least once in their lives.
Dr Guillotin invented his machine to make executions quick and painless. It worked... and was used right up to the end of the death penalty. The presence of observers and / or spectators is a different subject.
Actually, Dr Guillotin was not the inventor of the device. He made a suggestion about making executions quicker and more pain-free. The inventor of the device named it in honor of him.
Well...
That kinda shows the value of common knowledge, doesn't it?
Tobias Schmidt.
sure...whoever Mr. Schmidt is
The actual inventor.
He sounds German. But thank you for the follow up comment
He was a doctor dans la haute société parisienne. I don't know where he was born.
Seems I read once that the walking dead were given a choice in many states.
If you had done something so heinous that you were sentenced to death; what would you choose if given a choice? The chair? the gas chamber? the noose? firing squad? chemicals/poison? knife fight? Psycho hooker?
If the state was going to put you to death and all of your appeals were exhausted and the only two questions left were what would your final meal be and what kind of death would you choose; what would it be?
meat loaf and macaroni and cheese
natural causes
All good choices!
Trump paid millions for a recount in GA. They didn't find any fraud but they did find 84 uncounted votes...FOR BIDEN.
What is really going to be interesting is the Senate runoff in January. A lot depends on that.
"Lock her up!"
It's the same spirit...
Please tell me that he posted that shit on FB and/or Twitter so they can suspend his account.
Krebs is starting lawsuits, and he should sue the ass off of Trump for calling him a moron, and sue the ass off of DiGenova for enticing the crazies to carry out what DiGenova suggested, endangering his life.
über-Partisanship rots the mind.
Actionable rhetoric.
Has there been any word on what if any action will be taken by the ABA?
