Stripe, which processes online payments for President Donald Trump's campaign, cut ties with him for violating its policies during last week's riot at the U.S. Capitol, the company said Sunday.
The San Francisco-based company said Trump encouraged violence last Wednesday, when a mob of his supporters stormed the Capitol, in violation of user policies that prohibit "high risk" activities.
The Wall Street Journal first reported the move, which came after other companies began turning on the president over the attack that left five people dead, including a police officer.
Twitter, where Trump had more than 80 million followers, permanently suspended his personal account Friday, while the email vendor that Trump's campaign uses also suspended access, and Facebook blocked him indefinitely on Thursday.
Parler, the right-wing social media site where many of the president's supporters have flocked to, was dumped by Apple and Google for not moderating what a Google spokesperson called "egregious content."

That's gonna leave a mark.
damn that small print. poor trumpski. no way to communicate with the legion of morons. no way for the legion of morons to coordinate their unamerican insurrection with all the other domestic terrorist cults. and now, no way to collect on the next scam du jour. it'll take millions, of other people's money, to get all those bags packed, and worse yet, there's only 10 days until all the locks are changed and the wheels fall off the emolument express. clearly more effort should have been put towards planning and much less on behalf of conspiracy and denial.
Great news
The chickens are coming home to roost.
I have a feeling that this is only the beginning...more and more companies and more and more organizations will be cutting ties with.him. Many of them knew about what sort of a person he was from the beginning and looked the other way. But recently he's gotten more extreme-- that phone called where he blatantly tried to "fix" the Election. And recently, he's urging his grouypies to break the law and storm the Capitol. (resulting in, among other things, several deaths).
Now even some Republican politicians and saying we'd be much better off if he was no longer president.
The hits just keep on coming. Four major corporations, Marriott and Citibank among them have said that any republican that voted to deny Biden the presidency will no longer receive donations from their PAC's.
And getting ever better the PGA announced tonight that the PGA Championship to be held in 2021 at Trump golf course in NJ will be moved to another course. This is a really big deal since the Major Championship has a lot of prestige for the club and a hell of a lot of money.
good thing his twitter account is shut down. he's probably destroying shit in the WH.
Really great news on both counts, Kavika. I think Trump will find a way to take revenge on them for their being so 'mean' to him, but, it is obvious that he has crapped his pants in more ways than one by the actions he and his rabid supporters have taken on the Capitol bldg.
I just seeded an article about it. I'm sure he lost what was left of his mind when the news was given to him.
he won't get to be on TV with all the real golfers. boo hoo hoo
