Trump's intentions ? What were Trump's intentions ? No one knows for sure but Trump himself.
Too long for a post? Probably. Lol So I’m seeding it as an article for now.
Part one: By: 321Steve
Trump was impeached charged with incitement of a Inserection. The capitol as we all know was attacked by a mob of trump supporters so...
What really did trump intend?
.......................................................................................
Trump's intentions?
What were Trump's intentions? No one knows for sure but Trump himself.
But, we can look backwards from what happened to see that President Trump had thought about being president for a long time before he won.
Nothing wrong with that for sure but his life does show a lot of dedication, time, effort and money spent to achieve the position of President of the United States of America.
So, its little doubt he was not too enthusiastic about giving that position of great power up.
IMO: I'd say trump did about everything he could think of to retain power. I see no stones left unturned.
During and after exhausting every legal avenue to hold power ....
Trump crossed the line of reality, decency , and honesty including lying repeatedly to the point of even perhaps (in a way) brain-washing some people.
IMO: trump crossed the line even further by knowingly assembling a crowd of his most loyal radical followers , ramping them up and directing them to the capitol.
Many of his followers believed trump himself wanted them to "Stop the Steel" at any cost.(Just as trump operates), some seemed to believe the National Guard would soon be sent to assist them and some evidently even believed martial law would soon be declared.
IF SENATORS HAD BEEN TAKEN HOSTAGE this may have been the next step.
What would have happened IF Senators, House Members or Vice President Pence were taken hostage or were or had been murdered? ??
Part Two:
Just a little collaboration of what I'm thinkin and posting in this seed...

Martial law is the temporary imposition of direct military control of normal civil functions or suspension of civil law by a government,
Martial law may be declared in cases of major natural disasters; however, most countries use a different legal construct, such as a state of emergency.
Martial law has also been imposed during conflicts, and in cases of occupations, where the absence of any other civil government provides for an unstable population.
Typically, the imposition of martial law accompanies curfews; the suspension of civil law, civil rights, and habeas corpus; and the application or extension of military law or military justice to civilians. Civilians defying martial law may be subjected to military tribunal (court-martial)

What would have happened IF Senators, House Members or Vice President Pence were taken hostage or were or had been murdered ???
What really were Trump's intentions?
No one knows for sure but Trump himself.
I doubt Trump had plans in case of a hostage situation. In four years, he has never shown any sign of thinking that far ahead.
I think he did and had but, trump blew his takeover because of mainly his lack of details in planning.
I also believe trump miscalculated the real lack of utter violence his followers were willing to commit at the time.
IMO: Most Americans aren't really programed to commit horrendous violence or murder to just get their own way.
We'll have to wait for a few ''tell all'' books from his associates.
trump probably does not take many people into confidence in his real mindsets. ever !
I'd say that is usually reserved for family only.
Do you suppose that his family won't betray him for a few pieces of gold?
IMO: trump has raised his children to be much like he is.
Yes, I do think it probably would take more than money itself to ever really turn at least his children against their father.
I'd say is a good thing though.
But, Enough power ? Well ?
IMO: trump Has raised his children to be much like HE is, so ya never know. POWER +$$$ ??
I do think it would for sure take a shitload of cash and or power to get his son's to turn on him though.
and I'm sure trump really does trust his children more than any humans on earth.
trumps true confidants and advisers, his family.
IF trump can't take the presidency again I'm sure he will push for one of his sons to be president soon enough.
Betray their father ? Unlikely.
IMO: the trumps are all too alike. Power thirsty !
We shall see...
So True.
I think trump has kind of thrown a wildcard into America's future and you are so right, well see what the future holds.
Hi Steve...... I've had this nagging feeling that Trump was willing to martyr Pence, McCarthy, just about anyone in congress to declare martial law, negate the election, so to stay in office.
I have no proof, just superficial data points and perceived Trump motivations.
It hard to even contemplate.
But it sure seems to be the reality of what has happened. trump was in it to win and hold power no matter what the cost. He has to "Make America great again".
Unreal !!!!!
The contradictions are staggering, aren't they?
Insanity at its finest.
In typical trump fashion.
Sad !
Trump did not understand the Mike Pence's role in validating the certified State ballots was merely decorative,
a concession to some past Vice President who was bored to death by the office.
I just shake my head when I think of how trump treated Pence all along then in the end even totally betraying his own vice president to the hilt.
OMG: ........ Speechless !
What have you done for me... lately?
Why did you not jump both feet first into the fire for me mr pence !!!
yep, So So SAD !
ungrateful for the America he left...US with ?
Yep not happy at all with how trump ruled and left America.
Hell I haven't been happy with America's political system since our choice of presidents was trump or hildabeast.
Furthermore I'm still not real happy with how our government is being ran.
As a true middle of the ground political person IMO: Both parties are unreasonably power hungry.
I'm a true believer in the two parties compromisingly running the country.
I believe both republicans and democrats have both advantages and disadvantages to their ways and believes.
I really do believe that America is and has been GREAT Because of the mix between cons and libs.
Cons change too slowly
libs change too fast
IMO: A combination of both cons and libs helps responsibly change America as the world changes around us.
........................................................................
the party of trump was/is neither republican nor democrat, trump's political party was and is the party of TRUMP. A one man party for one purpose, one person's power.
NO THANK YOU !
His account has flipped on Trump, to keep his own kids out of the slammers. Mafia Dons are all the same. Flip one, flip them out now that "The Don" is out of the protection of the White House.
Numerous suits and indictments are being brought this POS!
Miss Pence is a chicken shat!
He did not miscalculate it. He openly encouraged it.
Trump knew exactly what he was doing. It was a "Hail Mary" (a deadly one) designed to STOP the Certification of Electoral Votes, leaving a duly elected president in limbo, and this selfish, demonic POS in power.
Trump knows that the safest place for him is the WH, protected by a Justice Department policy of NOT indicting a sitting president, which would enable this Devil to commit sins until he died in office.
T-Rump is a global MONSTER!
Pretty sure that Trump has never thought about the consequences of any statement or action he has ever made.
Trump was raised and trained in his formative years by the New York mafia.
Inside the F.B.I. File of Trump’s Mentor, Roy Cohn
Trump had, and may still have, a warm relationship with the NY MAFIA. He shared the same Attorney, Roy Cohen, who represented both corrupt entities on numerous business deals.
Trump did business with the Mafia Don, sold properties to him, invited him out of the shadows to his "Gala Affairs," that "Don" Donald held for the Mafia Don.
The NY MAFIA controlled the building trades in NYC.
Trump's intentions haven't changed. He is running, as he always has been, from the LAW. When he got elected he started floating that trial balloon, "Wouldn't it be great if we had a President for LIFE?" Then, pointed toward himself, his Cult went Nuts with "Hew-Haws," waving Confederate Flags, and screaming like juveniles, "Lock HER Up!"
Guess who is going to be "LOCKED UP!"
I don't think donald liked the job itself as much as he loved the power and being in control.
And he went insane after realizing that most intelligent folk hated him with a passion.
He also loved that he had access to a new big personal piggy bank.
It's obvious he never did any work in the four years as 'president'
I'd say many people would/will disagree.
How trump got stuff done is another story altogether though.
BTW: Tessylo, the thumbs down is Not mine.
What thumbs down?
On my page both of our posts here show a thumbs down as 1
"Collapse this page"
On my page it doesn't allow me to see any name for thumbs downs "Collapse this page" only thumbs ups.
The collapse simply hides comments in a thread.
I finally realized that But Thanks.
Didn't even know we could do that here.
I miss the vine.
We cant.
I hadn't been here for years, My mistake. I was mistaken in what I thought was the thumbs down button.
But collapsing the thread seems about the same.
Neither was true in what I thought about Tessylo's post.
..................................
I kinda miss the vine as well. There were many more people on it, But it did go to Hell soon after trump started his run for president.
As trump made insulting fashionable people got meaner, nastier and more and more abusive till the site was out of control and soon was closed.
LOL, I bitched and almost left here because it was monitored until I was helped by others here to understand that monertating these sites is what helps keep them civil enough that people actually want to use them.
Go figure. Newstalkers survived, the vine didn't.
And to think with all the people there they only had like two or three moderators.
At the end, I think it was only Dave remaining.
IMO, he had no interest in the job but the power is a drug to him.
I have to agree with Kavika 100%. Once he saw the power of his words on Twitter.... he grew to love the position he never really wanted.
Personally Perrie, I don't think trump ever wanted the Job. However he always wanted the power.
The president does a lot of duties most presidents don't really want to do, they do them because it is expected of our president.
Hell trump wouldn't even allow the peaceful transfer of the power the presidency without trying to overturn the election results any possible way that exists.
trump never wanted to be president. But, he has always wanted to Rule our country.
He still does !
Don't forget perks like immunity to criminal actions (un-indictable), being able to derail criminal investigations of himself, friends and family, give pardons to friends, commute friend's sentences, use the DOJ as personal attorneys, and force government agencies to use his properties while jacking up prices.
Trump is a megalomaniac and diseased narcissist. He wants whatever gets him fame and power.
Simple abject narcissism ... getting no Press is getting bad Press.
That drawing makes him look too dignified.
I agree John.
7.1.1
I really don't think it's that complicated. We all spent the last year watching fired up crowds march on government buildings, block roads, and highways - and yes: do an awful lot of property damage - all to force radical change in the way government does things. Trump decided he would try to get some of that action for his cause.
IMO: trump already had what he did in mind as his trump card for some time. Look back to when this man actually started flying the "The only way I can lose is the election has to be rigged" gambit.
IMO: this was a genuine effort to take over the power of the presidency by any means at any cost. Why that so hard to see for people to see ?
Doing pretty much anything trump wants to get what trump wants is how trump has operated all of his life.
For one thing, if that's what he was going for, it was a pretty shitty effort. In fact, other than get people pumped up, he didn't actually do anything to accomplish that goal. Second, some 60 court cases were filed and I don't know how many direct appeals to election officials were made. You don't put that much effort into legally disputing election results if you're just going to take the throne by force.
The taking of the throne by force was the last ditch effort.......
That's fine; but it's not Trump doing something. I assumed we were talking about Trump's effort.
Looking at the big picture the big picture IS trump's DOING.
The mob would not have been a mob without trump inviting them there. To think trump had nothing to DO with the timing, place and mood of the crowd seems pretty short sighted at best.
I don't like trump's means and/or ways of accomplishment, so I have carefully watched HOW trump works people, situations, words, the truth, the media and his base.
In fact I have watched what trump has been DOING as much or more than I have listened to what he says, over and over.
Actions speak louder than words.
And lack of actions.
He is keeping up that crowd's mentality by still refusing to concede the election, and refusing to attend the inauguration.
The two are vastly different thought Tacos.... One was for personal gain, the other was in a push for civic change. As far as the property damage...... I didn't like it, but lets also say that there were some involved that didn't have the best interest of BLM in mind starting those fires.
What was the intention of Donald J. Trump?
Answer: Same as always. Self protection and self adulation.
I think we do know. His intentions were not good.
I have to agree that he had no real desire to win in the first place. I think it was a marketing scheme and he ended up getting elected. If we look at his actions while he was in office it's pretty clear he didn't give a shit about anyone but himself.
and his power. trump was born with money want trump craves is attention and Power.
You are correct trump never really wanted to be president, (too much formal Bull Shit). trump craves sear unquestionable Power.
He was/is pretty good at getting power, welding it though he sucks.
