Nearly 80% of Americans blame Biden for inflation surge: poll
About 70 percent of Americans say the national economy is currently in bad shape and the majority -- 86 percent -- are concerned about inflation.

The vast majority of Americans say surging grocery and household goods prices are causing them financial hardship and nearly 80 percent blame the Biden administration's economic policies, a new poll says.

About 70 percent of Americans say the national economy is in bad shape, and the majority — 86 percent — are concerned about inflation, according to the Fox News poll released Wednesday.

Of those polled, 86 percent blame the COVID-19 pandemic for increasing prices and 79 percent blame the Biden administration's economic policies.

The surging costs of groceries and gas are causing financial hardship for 70 percent of people with incomes of less than $50,000, the polls says.

Over 50 percent of those who earn $100,000 say price increases have also been tough on them.

Many Americans are suffering financially amid the rising cost of grocery items.

"The degree to which lower-income households are feeling the squeeze on food and fuel is striking, if not surprising, and highlights the risk that inflation could push families on the brink over the financial edge," said pollster Chris Anderson.

The poll, conducted by Beacon Research and Shaw & Company Research, was carried out between Aug. 7 and 10. It polled 1,002 randomly selected registered voters across the country.

Nearly 80 percent of Americans blame the Biden administration's economic policies for the inflation spike.

It comes as inflation continued to surge in July with the Labor Department's Consumer Price Index jumping 5.4 percent compared to last year.

Consumer prices, which measures a basket of goods and services as well as energy and food costs, rose 0.5 percent from the month prior, the Labor Department said.

Food prices were up 0.7 percent in July from the prior month and 3.4 percent from a year ago, according to the data.

Inflation continues to surge across the nation.

The cost of meat surged, with frankfurters and various cuts of pork up 4.8 percent and 4.4 percent, respectively, from June. The price of eggs also increased 1.6 percent from the month prior.

Gasoline rose 2.4 percent from May and is up almost 42 percent from a year ago.

How can anyone pretend? Trump is no longer President and he is still living rent free in TDS sufferers' heads.

Biden is a fuck up beyond pale; but all the left can do is go "But Trruuummmmppppp!!!!!"

How can the current moron in charge be redressed when the left doesn't seem to know he is in office?

The poll didn't ask about the Biden Administration's economic policies Vic.

Della, call Paul and ask him to see if he can find out why democrats support such radical economic policies.

Get this:

"A  survey  by Fox News conducted this week found that 59% of Democratic voters hold a favorable opinion of socialism, compared to 49% who said the same of  capitalism . Furthermore, 44% of Democrats hold an unfavorable view of capitalism, compared to 31% who view socialism negatively."

Thank you Paul, that would explain why democrats are voting for all these horrendous candidates.

It would also explain who so many progressives chose media and/or government as professions rather than the practical world of business.

The pandemic is obviously the root cause of our economic concerns.   The reduction in the workforce (people not on the job working) has reduced supply and thus increased prices in the supply chain.   It has also fractured the supply chain with companies going out of business and/or dropping losing endeavors.   People choosing to not work and rather survive on government subsidies exacerbated this problem.

But the key here is that our supply chains have been disrupted by the pandemic and it takes a while to gear them back up to an effective level.   Which is why Biden politically wants the pandemic to end ... it is bad for his presidency.

And, as PotUS, Biden will of course get the blame for all that is bad and credit for all that is good.   Nothing new there.

As POTUS, when Biden raised his right hand to take the Oath of Office, he took responsibility for them both and now owns them.

That is correct:

TiG @6And, as PotUS, Biden will of course get the blame for all that is bad and credit for all that is good.   Nothing new there.

Note that Biden has focused on the pandemic during his entire presidency.   He continues to ensure the vaccine is available to all and to encourage people to get vaccinated.   As PotUS that is likely the most effective thing he can do within his power.

After 4 years of the Tangerine Mussolini never taking responsibility for anything it's good news that we have someone in the oval office actually willing to do so.
