Trump Confirmed Booster Shot Because 'Must Tell the Truth'
The former president reminded the crowd that his administration worked to get a COVID-19 vaccine developed in less than a year as part of Operation Warp Speed. "Look, we did something that was historic; we saved tens of millions of lives worldwide when we, together, all of us, we got a vaccine done," Trump said, Newsweek reported. "This was going to ravage the country far beyond what it is right now, take credit for it ... it's great, what we've done is historic. Don't let them take it...

Who else thinks Biden will try to take credit for vaccine?

Fuhrer Biden has spoken!

This is perfect.  Trump got the booster and recommended that others do so while continuing to speak out against coercion and mandates.  I’m proud of #45/47!

Former President Donald Trump said he confessed to having received the COVID-19 vaccine booster because he "must tell the truth."

The former president explained his reasoning in a handwritten letter Monday to New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman, who had reached out to a spokesperson to ask why Trump "switched his message on the vaccine/booster."

"Maggie -- Must tell the truth ," Trump wrote , "and very proud to have produced the 3 vaccines so quickly – Millions of lives saved worldwide. Best Wishes Donald."

While speaking with journalist Bill O’Reilly during an appearance Sunday in Dallas, Trump was asked whether he had received the booster shot.

"Yes," Trump answered while seated on stage, O’Reilly's No Spin News tweeted Monday.

When a few spectators booed, Trump grinned and waved his hand while saying, "Don’t, don’t, don’t, don’t …

"There's a very tiny group over there," he added while pointing to his left.

Don't let them take it away."

Trump was cheered loudly after he said he opposed vaccine mandates.

"If you don't want to take it, you shouldn't be forced to take it," he told the crowd, Newsweek reported.

In a Fox News  interview that aired Sunday, Trump criticized President Joe Biden's work in fighting COVID-19.

"Biden was going to do a wonderful job on COVID, right? … He's done a horrible job," Trump told Fox News’ "Sunday Morning Futures." "Look at what's gone on. Today we set a record on cases, a record," he said in an apparent reference to New York state’s record spike in positive cases of the virus.

Trump encouraged Americans to take the coronavirus vaccine for the first time during an appearance at the 2021 Conservative Political Action Conference in February, Newsweek said.

Trump also told the Dallas crowd that Americans needed to save the country from the progressive policies promoted by President Joe Biden and Democrats.

"Our country is going to hell," he said, The Dallas Morning News reported. "We have to get our country back. We have to make America great again."

He created the Trump vaccine,  he took the vaccine when it was safe to do so considering when he had the virus, and he recommended we all take it within a month of leaving office when it became more widely available to the general public after the first responders and oldest of senior citizens were prioritized.  Now he’s taken and advocated for the booster.

He created the Trump vaccine

jrSmiley_10_smiley_image.gif

Pfizer wasn't even a part of Warp Speed.

he took the vaccine when it was safe to do so considering when he had the virus

He took it secretly, without telling anyone.

Now he’s taken and advocated for the booster.

Too little, too late.  The boos that greeted his announcement show just how little his followers care about what he says NOW.  They are still obeying Trump version 1.0.

Kind of makes you wish there was a Trump vaccine, doesn't it?  Single dose and you will never have to deal with Trump again.

Pfizer wasn't even a part of Warp Speed.

That’s not entirely true.

CNN asked the company if there was any more nuance to the situation.

In response, Pfizer spokesperson Sharon Castillo provided a statement that said the company is indeed part of Operation Warp Speed.

"Pfizer is one of various vaccine manufacturers participating in Operation Warp Speed as a supplier of a potential COVID-19 vaccine," Castillo said in an email.

They received almost $2 billion from the American government in a purchase of 100 million doses - promised in advance of the vaccine being ready or even approved. They also got almost $500 million from the German government. That’s not the same as having the government directly fund R&D, but it makes it a lot easier for a company to proceed with R&D when they already know they will get paid for their efforts.

Wow, so we bought vaccine from Pfiser, therefore it was part of operation warp drive?  That is really stretching it.

After the vaccine was already developed, they bought some.  How is that "warp speed"?

How about the company spokesperson saying that they were part of Operation Warp Speed? The stretching is reading that and continuing to claim that they weren't part of it.

After the vaccine was already developed, they bought some.  How is that "warp speed"?

U.S. to pay Pfizer, BioNTech $1.95 billion for COVID-19 vaccine

That was July 2020 - long before the vaccine was approved. Now, the deal was contingent on that approval, and also didn't pay for R&D, so it's a more limited involvement. But if the company says this makes them part of the program, who the hell are you to say it doesn't?

Of course he through his actions made them possible to happen more quickly than would have otherwise happened.  Denying Trump the rightful well earned credit for developing the vaccines only deepens the resolve of the unvaccinated to stay that way.

If you want to persuade the unvaccinated to get vaccinated, denying Trump his due credit for developing it is no way to persuade his voters not yet vaccinated to get it.  Democrat denial of Trump his due credit for its development is the single biggest factor in many non vaccinated being that way.

How about the company spokesperson saying that they were part of Operation Warp Speed?

So because he said it, it was true?  Was he part of the development of warp drive to determine who was participating, or is he just a guy trying to keep a potential customer happy?

I might be wrong, but I’m guessing Sharon Castillo is female.

But either way, if you have actual evidence that the Pfizer spokesperson should not be believed, by all means present it. I have no problem watching you dig yourself ever deeper into this weird hole you have made for yourself.

Many people don't know this, but Trump is a true genius-- he excels at many things.

So he spent many nights alone in his basement laboratory crating the vaccine-- all by himself!

Wait? I've done it a dozen times already for all the good it does.  Kessler himself said he's not documenting lies and how could he, given the substance of his evidence.  Sadly, some people continue to intentionally misrepresent Kessler's opinions.

Take one example. Over 200 of the  "false" statements are Trump claiming the witch-hunts and focus on Russia, Russia, Russia nonsense made his job harder.  If that standard was applied to Obama, he would have told 100,000 falsehoods over his term.  A partisan pundit like Kessler can label pretty much any statement false.
