Watch the video to see the car change colour.

One scary thing about this, although the chance of it happening is probably rarer than getting hit by lightning, is that if one was involved in a hit-and-run accident, the driver could on the run change colour and then witnesses would say that the car involved was different than the one that drove away.

Seems like it may be a more sophisticated version of a previous "colour-changing" technology. A while back lenses were invented that changed darkness-- if you went outside to bright sunlight the lenses automatically grew very dark, like sunglasses, and if you went inside where is wasn't as bright the lenses automatically adjusted for the dimmer light-- the dark "sunglass" shading disappeared.

Here's one type-- they are called "Transitions".   These are more for driving, but there are others just for ordinary use-- walking to locations of different brightness, the degree of shading of the lenses change.

Yes, those lenses were invented quite a while ago.

If they were looking for a name for that car, I'd call it the Chameleon.

Well, okay, if you consider black and white colourful.   Okay, okay, I got your joke.
